    While I agree that Hon. Mathew Wale's concern about hospitals is important, I also think that the timing of his call is politically motivated and thus intended to mislead the public.
    Since gaining independence in 1978, we have more than ten governments running this country so far, why push for hospitals just now?
    I'm not saying that hospitals are not important, I'm actually talking about the timing of his call.
    Do some maths and you'll find that 24 countries hosting the Pacific Games every four years, that's only one chance in a hundred years. So for Solomon Islands to take that chance makes more sense than not.
    The Solomon Islands government had asked China to build a stadium and it was done. Hon. Mathew Wale should asked the countries like the US and Australia who talk much about hospitals to put money where the mouth is.
    Otherwise, using the money that was intended for one thing and spending it on other things that are not part of its intended purpose; is just pure corruption. Diversion they called it.
