She tried to stop Brenda from marrying Sonny with this paper that was suppose to reveal that Dante and Brenda had slept together, but it wasn't true and she was left sitting there and they got married anyway because Dante and Brenda explained what really happened. Just watched these scenes. Carly has always been manipulative and she had not changed to this day. But yet the writers are still making it her way. Don't see it stopping . Another scene where Carly is talking to Brenda, demanding answers, Jason just stands there,not saying to much of anything. Like he didn't want to say anything to upset Carly, when it wasn't about her and no business of hers. She talked to mostly all the woman like that one way or another to this day. Look at how she talked to Britt. Unbelievable.
It’s not the writers making it carly way. If they did she would’ve been married to Jason years ago and had many more children with him besides Michael.
The writers write the scripts for each character, and the The producers have the final approval, that is just common sense. They have done this for years. As for her and Jason being married then and now, this is the very reason that when the writers tried, it didn't work. They tried to rewrite history, but there are fans out here knew that. The actress got work in primetime when she originally left. The money and hours were better. It was her choice, not the GH writers. That’s why the returns are always brief. They would have kept Brenda forever-if they could. I believe this last time, gh wasn’t willing to reduce her hours when she was pregnant in real life. Bottomline: if GH could have kept Vanessa Marcil as Brenda, Carly would be long gone from when the first Carly left…she was plan B - at best. The truly incredible and unforgettable characters cannot be replaced with new actors. And to all those who re-write history with this sonny never married Brenda earlier because she is spoiled and superficial BS. No. No. No. look it up. The night before their wedding, Sonny dreamed of Lily getting blown up but when she turn it was Brenda. He left to make sure that never happened to Brenda too. He loved her enough to push her away to keep her safe and alive. All others are disposable. Anyone who says Brenda couldn’t handle his life didn’t watch. She stood by him through secrets, shootings, kidnappings, marrying someone in else to stay out of jail. Brenda stood by Sonny through it all and fought for him and defended him.
Now to be honest I am a Sonny and Carly fan……but I also liked Sonny and Brenda in the earlies and I appreciate that they got a chance……even though it didn’t last……my fact is……Brenda is no good for Sonny……she was, is and will always be weak……and not strength, but staying power, commitment and loyalty.
