Actually the way you set the valve lash is by tipping the valve for more lash or grinding it for more lash I do a bunch

Great video, Did you ever have to replace valve guides in any of the cylinder heads you've rebuilt?

Just curious why don't you use assembly lube when rebuilding a motor?

  • @GYPSY400

I'm not sure if you used the old head bolts.. but torque to yield bolts are single use. Once the bolts are stretched, they won't stretch the second time.

For this particular quad polris doesn't specify new bolts, Just some oil on threads and torque

where do you typically get your engine parts? are there some parts you recommend sticking with oem versus aftermarket?

So why did head studs instead of bolts. They're the black ones and I did my torque sequence up to the 180°. I still got to do another 180 but damn they seem tight already is it the same torque sequence with head studs

I have a 570 from 2017, but why do they all sound like there’s a knock when they are idling. My dads, nephews and mine etc all sound the same.

hey rock,i just got done doing a 2006 polaris 500 top end.never have i seen such a goofy toque spec set up as polaris has.have you?do you see what's the point of doing all them steps like that, I mean tighten then loosing, then tighten?that was what they recommend for my 2006.

i think that motor is way under powered for that bike from what is done to it ...the motor will never last
