Graystone for LYFE!!
Here, rootin' for the man himself!!! Let's go sir!!!!
yeah
I'd buy a Greystone ticket and a ton of merch. Like right now.
Your team is stacked man
When the bass gets yeeted out, you know its gonna be wild
This is wild it's legit like an old MTV reality show but composed of people I actually care about
So it sucks but you like it because it's people you enjoy 😂
@@AndrewB23go touch grass man. You just hating everyone comments. If you don't like the show it's ok, just unfollow or ignore them
@@AndrewB23ur life must be boring since u hating everyone else
@@AndrewB23 No, you got it backwards. I enjoy it because it's people I suck.
@@ThomasUnbelieverCan I get in on some of that sucking action? It's not ghey if you're the one getting sucked right? No homo!
As a person with absolutely zero musical ability (but a great love of music) I will never not be utterly amazed by people who can just sit and fiddle around and then poof, a song appears. It genuinely seems like magic to me. I am super late to the party but I love this series!
AS a musician - agreed!
Jesus I've spent literally years watching everyone of these people online. It's so CRAZY to see them all together
Seriously? You knew all of them? That is wild, I knew 2 lol
Now here's the most beautiful love story: Me and you? Though we have fallen short of the glory of God by comitting just one sin which we deserve death and hell for, the Good News is that God loved us soo much that He, All-Powerful and All-Knowing Spirit came to earth in a human body as Jesus Christ, the fullness of God bodily, to live a perfect life keeping and fulfilling all laws and commandments, not sinning ONCE, and then sacrificing Himself on a cross for YOU! By shedding His Blood, He paid the penalty for your sin so that you could be washed clean from all sins and develop a personal relationship with God and spend eternity together with Him in Heaven. How awesome is that?! That's God's grace. All you have to do to accept His gift of grace is turn away from your sin and believe that Jesus is God, He shed His precious Blood for you and He is risen from the dead, He's in full control of your life that He rules over you. It's not by works or being a good person, it's only by God's grace through faith in Him. Jesus desires a personal relationship with you. Wow that is so incredible! Please turn to Him, He loves you so much and so do I!!
I knew at least like... 5. Pretty wild lol
Same ❤❤❤ much love 🤘🤘🤘
I'm familiar with Lauren (💕,) Nic and Anthony.
All of them are incredible.
Big props to JORRUD for putting this on, was a lot of fun! Hate him for starting the premieres at 2am though 💀

Haha Israel vs Palestine, amiright Ruby?
It was a crime that you got relegated to bass bro
Sophie does a great job of taking up space on stage. You can get an idea of who has played on stage a bit and who has spent most of their time in their rooms.
Rudy is an absolute madman. Love this guy since the beginning

I find that writing a song in 5 minutes is better than sitting there saying no to yourself for five hours until there's nothing left but calculated chord progression.

Careful, Jared might think you're faking things and ruin your career, next! *_spooky noises_*
Dude, your job here was great. I really liked that song and your performance. All of the band job, to be fair. Really well done job. You must be proud.
You were awesome man. I'd love to hear you and Justin collaborate on a song.
Props to Sweetwater and the other sponsors for making something like this happen.
Skylight was the most balanced and listenable band for me! It was amazing what all of these musicians did in 5 hrs though!
I'm old enough to remember a time when making a show like this required massive budgets, network TV stations, hours of pointless meetings and stupid executive opinions until the point when the show was reduced to its least interesting or entertaining form and everything that was left was anodyne and soulless. Jared has really pulled off something fantastic here! This is truly the age of the independent content creator. This is a reality show I'll actually watch and enjoy!
This is making the band meets tik tok house
Completely agree!
So you are old enough to know what Mtv is, congrats, this is the age of everyone here as well.
So true!
Well it took millions and millions of followers and thousands of dollars to pull this off so it's not that different 😂
We all knew Graystone was gonna be nasty with the lineup alone, but Grasshopper really surprised me, that was like a metal jam band lol
Just a real solid jam session. Not the most coherent song but I was smiling all the way through. Banger nonetheless.
@@sgtkarhu6844 Considering they had 5 hours and somehow made a song better than almost all on the billboard top 100 says a lot.
Reminds me of foo fighters n Alice n chains tough. I eff with it
With some Hendrix/ classic flavors
Yeah, it wasn't really my style of music but of the three I reckon they deserved the win personally
I really enjoyed Skylimit's song the most. That chorus hits!
It was solid!
It goes to show the talent CZcams has. A testament of how you can make a fantastic show without a network or big production company budget.
Really fun reality show.
This gives me a great video idea: I put 20 bass players in a trailer house for 3 months with only their gear, hot wings, and beer. I'm guessing they'd never leave.
Chicken fingers would be better, we all have acid reflux from trying to stop our bands from imploding.
I must be a bass player cause that sounds awesome
@blackboard_sx3488 Chicken fingers? Yeah. BUT the good kind! At $8, not the shitty kind...
Bad idea. They will just discuss what they would have done there if they were guitarists.
@@Gubsonspotted the snobby guitarist
I wish non-musicians understood how hard it is to write a song in a couple hours, only to perform, even then, working with people you've never worked with before. The winners here is the audience, man this is so awesome to see.
i agree, understand and can relate making music with multiple uniquely creative individuals and pulling it off is never easy
I'm not a musician but a creative person as well, i can barely imagine how hard it must be. Enjoing it very much! (:
I'm a musician that has written over 300 songs. Of course they aren't all winners, but I would say I wrote songs in between 1-3 hours. Songs usually write themselves and if you have to force them, they mostly suck. I can't speak for other musicians, but I consider myself mediocre most days. If I were more skilled in theory, it shouldn't be difficult to write songs even faster. Never should take more than a few hours plugging away if you have talent. Lyrics are the hardest.
@ghostfacekurdkillah4147 Says the talentless chump who can't even play a G chord. Get tossed haha
@@zetok45 I'm not saying you being able to create music isn't impressive but wouldn't adding 4 people you've never met to make a song you're all comfortable with only make the process harder?
Like an old school mtv show. Hope this turns in to seasons. A different group per season. Doing all types. This would be so sick if it blows up.
Brad and Sophie’s group are too amazing! No contest! Their drummer, bass, all vocals were just excellent!
Seeing Austin and Justin trying to out-goblin each other at the ending song had me dying laughing, its just so damn goofy i love it.
man I LOVE Justin in Tallah, but man he is SO OUTCLASSED in this style standing next to Austin it's hilarious. They might be able to blend well together if given a little more time to practice and prepare, but it was still a sick song. Just thought it was funny hearing Justin growl right after Austin and hearing how relatively bad it sounds, when in actuality they're both amazing in their own styles.
@@TheEpicLinkFreemanexactly bro. Austin vocals are awesomely insane than that of Justin's
@@TheEpicLinkFreemanI dunno, there’s something just so maniacal about Justin’s vocals, where Austin is an angry bear, Justin is mischievous goblin
@evilemuempire9550 you're not wrong, and the double battling breakdown callout was genius. Their contrast worked perfectly there because of how much separation their voices have between each other
@@TheEpicLinkFreeman If you look at Justins vlogs during his time at Musician Mansion, you'll find out he was already losing his voice before the first challenge even started lmfao!
Apparently, all his yelling, laughing, and screaming before-hand resulted with him losing some of his vocals. You'll also hear how hoarse his voice is in future episodes.
So really, he was not working with his normal range.
I’d get a Graystone album right now. All three were honestly incredible

@@Dubscr thanks. I didn’t see it originally
On god
Jared didn't invite Kmac2021 because it would be too unfair for other participants, since he would absolutely dominate in every single challenge.
Kmac could wipe down all the performers with just himself. Really sad he’s not on here
*To think that both Bradley & Sophie are from the UK, I'm really intrigued that Jared did not bring Kmac to this.*
Maybe Kmac declined

You killed it bro great job.
I hope like hell y’all do some actual recording together. I’m gonna need some more of that in my soundtrack to life.
You ruined an otherwise cool song with your nonsense.
It’s criminal not putting Baena on the same team as Austin and Nik
Too stacked. Gotta spread the 1s and 0s.
Lauren, Nik and Baena would be huge too
I am actually glad for it, and sad that Nik was put with two extreme vocalists. I'd love to see what he would've done outside his comfort zone, like with Rudy and Vincent. Otherwise, he was just making what he used to. No fun in that :|
Season 2 ya. Switch em around. Hopefully their experience was great and they’ll reconvene.

Please, please make this a permanent series for years to come. That was the best 41 minutes of this year. I have a feeling it'll only get better.
I appreciate the variety. This is what the rock and metal scene needs, is to be United
Incredible idea. This is the type of reality TV a musician would like to see!

I just noticed something about Skylimit's performance. Around 32:00 when you hear the first harsh vocal, Andrew isn't standing near the mic and Lauren didn't do it either. I've watched this show at least a dozen times and just noticed that
I can’t even imagine how hard it was for Jared to not jump in and play with every band throughout the series 😂

Kayfable pez
Graystone's song is freaking BRUTAL. Everyone did a great job, but my favorite is actually Skylimit's.
I agree, Lauren is a damn cheat code. However when the bass player put his instrument down to go double vocals on the breakdown was just epic
Ya I think performance like that won them it at first I was thinking skylimit as well n
Skylimit and Grasshopper are the favourites for me, too!
Grasshopper's solos were amazing, i need to check out both Drewsif and the incredibly skilled Jimema! She did some outrageous soloing and I really enjoyed it . She has clearly played and honed her craft a lot ! As a guitarist, I honestly liked every band. I did find that Graystones guitars were, unfortunately, a bit drowned out apart from the solos.
And of course that's just my opinion, I'm really enjoying this show and don't want to offend anyone. There is no way that at this stage in my guitar journey that I am able to write a full finished song in one day. So much respect to each and every one of you! Heck yeah :)
Skylimit actually looks and sounds like they could be a real band.
What a ride! This show was amazing to watch from start to finish. It was incredible seeing a bunch of the people I've been following for years come together for what I can only describe as the greatest collab of the year. I wouldn't be surprised if Jared's annual "Biggest shred collab" starts with something that was put together in this house. All I can say is that these people are today's rock stars, and each and every one of them deserves to be recognized as masters of their craft.
Thank you for bringing so many awesome people together
For not having their own gear, not working together, and having only a certain amount of time, everyone did great. It's also refreshing to see something like this without all the petty forced ridiculous drama.
Agreed
Facts. Every time Jared walked into a practice I was scared there was gonna be fake drama, but it was just vibes.
I'm not 100% on them not having their own gear. I'm pretty sure Paula is a Kiesel artist and she was playing a Kiesel. Not necessarily something Sweetwater carries, lol.
Not to mention at least 2 abasi concepts guitars
The sheer energy Greystone takes the stage with... They're poised to brute-force strat their way through.
Loved it, amazing production, great interviews, Jared just killing it!
This is truly the time of ultimate youtube collaborations. All the fighters, strongmen, body builders and now musicians are all hanging out and creating awesome content together.
The Grasshopper song was definitely my favorite. It has a fresh mix of old school and modern and the duel-y solo was really fun
Solo duel was fun, but the song itself should be without it. Just before that section was a nice and complete song.
I loved it. I said in a comment of my own that I got major Audioslave/Soundgarden vibes from Andrew's vocals, and paired with the RHCP vibe of Suns drums and the bass groove(I don't know the bassist's name) sounds similar to something you'd hear from Flea and Chad.
Agreed, the grasshopper's song had a flavour you don't really find that often anymore. If I had any problem, it would be the guitar solo. it was a bit long and felt choppy and not polished enough, but considering it was made from scratch within a few hours with a band you just met? Yeah, it's still my favourite.
Greystone wins in the energy department. If you weren't dumbfounded/awe struck, you were vibing.

Niks group murdered the other two and it’s not even close
I have No words for how phenomenal this went, but puting Nik, Austin, and Justin on the same team was INSANE!!!

after not seeing these creators for years the second song lowkey made me wanna tear up WTF, shit is so magical to see people working together to make a masterpiece
Lauren talking with the mic when Jared comes into the room is the most accurate singer at practice vibes 😂
Skylimit hands down was my favorite. That song needs to be recorded and released. We shoot, take this performance and do that as it was pretty dang spot on.

That honestly should have won this episode. It was the most well thought out, most polished and studio ready song. I have no idea how Austin and them took it.

Graystone had my favorite performance, but Grasshopper definitely had my favorite song. I'm a sucker for that grungy groovy sound. If anything I think their song was a bit ambitious for a 5 hour turnaround lol
Main riff on the Grasshopper song was so grunge it was basically "You" by Candlebox
"My names Austin and I scream " here for the dickey moments
I wasn't really in the mood for something like this but I am hooked. I love all of these people.
Ah man, I love this show! This brings me back to my school days. In the Netherlands we have a music school named after one of the dutch legendary musicians, The Herman Brood Academy. I've had the honor and the pleasure to be part of that experience. Doing the Artist course. For 3 semesters, 3 years... every week was exactly like this. New people around you, soaking in all that inspiration (if there was a good connection, cause it can also go horribly wrong ^^ ) have a challenge and create something amazing together under pressure and in a very short time window. It was such a privilege to be part of that. I'm a musician myself but never gone pro with it, but this resembles the exact energy I got from those schooldays. Thank you so much for this great content.
Austin's energy is just unmatched, and his vocals are sick!
