I'm surprised she didn't say she was influenced by British music when she lived there. William Orbit and Stuart Price were among the most cutting-edge artists in British electronic music at the time that she lived and worked there.
First Last yes! William was also involved to a lesser degree with “Music” and “MDNA”.
She began working with William for Ray of Light and she was still living in the US at that point in time.

Yes British and Spanish influences are pretty strong in Madonna's career. Surprised she didn't say La Isla Bonita, Spanish Lesson, Spanish Eyes, etc immediately but then, yes, pivot to William Orbit. Not the right frame of mind, perhaps :)
