    Dennis 應該有能力主持中文pad cast/talk show。
    當然,如果能掌握更好更流暢的中文,來日可有更好的發展

    I support you, Johnathan, to start a Chinese podcast❤, Using Singaporean Chinese, which is our culture. Other countries' Chinese podcast hosts are also not that pro in the language.
    Denise (kudos to your mum😂)is a talented Chinese host and not to be missed in your new show. I would also want to watch how the rest of TDK hosts speak Chinese😂

    看到很多评论谈中文的,我也有感而发。其实双语流利的很多都来自在精英学院啊。。。而他们的中文其实从小就考到A,去竞争激烈的中学,再来高中, (Anglican High School, Catholic High School, Chinese High School, Chung Cheng High School (Main), Dunman High School), Maris Stella High School, Nanyang Girls’ High School, River Valley High School and CHIJ St Nicholas Girls’ School),后来进入本地大学啊。有些大学会因为母语成绩优秀而给自己增加了大学的选择(考好会额外加分)。所以学院派应该很多中文流利的,只是没拍到他们。很多部长的中文程度都要不错啊。说不定那些中文好的, 他们下次出现讲华语的时候很有可能就是会在新闻报道或国会里😅。
    再来,新加坡社会上也是有很多用中文交流的,但的确,越年轻一辈的,越糟糕,因为在家也不想讲华语。自己观察- 60后,70后,大多数的中文OK,过后慢慢没落退步。幸好(或不幸)新加坡怕输的年轻家长注视到中文在国际上的重要性而从小也开始补习中文,打好基础。 能用流利双语的,还是不少啦。 要找对的地方找。
    特别是5060年代父母都是中文教育从小陪孩子讲华语的。
    但我也知道有些不知道为什么觉得说华语很丢脸? 崇洋,只要接触angmo,western world,觉得比较高人一等。 🤷🏻‍♀️但我觉得双语搞好的,了解中西文化,能在两边文化游走在更厉害。

    It is a little sad my SG peers are way more proficient in their English than their mother tongue… hopefully things get better with practice. 加油!共勉之!
