  • Suzuki S-Presso AGS First Look! [Car Feature]
    The 2023 Suzuki S Presso now has an automatic transmission, courtesy of the 2023 Suzuki S-Presso AGS! In this Filipino Car Review, we take a tour of the new 2023 Suzuki S-Presso AGS and see if it has more to offer than just an automatic transmission. The 2023 Suzuki S Presso AGS is a welcome variant that many people are asking for, since not all people can drive the manual transmission of the previous Suzuki S-Presso. This brings the fun and quirky looks of the Suzuki S-Presso to more people, since we now have the auto gear shift. Most people think that Suzuki's auto gear shift is an automatic transmission, but it is really a manual transmission with an automated clutch. The 2023 Suzuki S-Presso AGS would be easier to drive around the highway in manual mode, and unlike regular automatics, the Suzuki S-Presso AGS does not have a park option in the shifter. The 2023 Suzuki S-Presso AGS is cheaper than even the Honda Brio or the Toyota Wigo, which means that it will be a huge best seller for Suzuki Philippines.

    Im glad this finally gets the AGS, its more accessible and more fun to drive. Im also glad that Suzuki Philippines upped the feature list on this as well as the safety kit. The headunit is the same as the one used in the new Baleno, Scross and Grand Vitara(when is Suzuki Philippines going to take the wraps off this because we know they arent bringing the Scross and they did raise their hand for it?). In any event the cutouts at the bottom arent for fog lights btw, they are for DRL's in the Indian market(they get the best Suzuki bits). Finally the fact this is still the cheapest new car despite the price hike says something about the car market these days😢.

    Personal opinion: Spresso was originally marketed as the "budget-friendly" car. I am not so sure if people still consider this as budget car given the price increase. Cebu pa lang nasa 710,000 na haha I might consider raize m/t though. But still congrats on bringing the AGS to Ph!

    It took Suzuki quite some time to launch this here in the Philippines since many people wanted this car, but cannot drive a manual, but hey, better late than never. I've been hearing and seeing complaints with Suzuki's AGS though, but then again, only time will tell. In the end, any motorcycle and vehicle will heavily depend on how the owner takes care of it. An automatic Toyota Wigo cost around Php 680,000. It seats 5, better gauge cluster display, all power windows and a more spacious trunk space. I think for Php 20,000 more I would consider the Wigo a better choice but this is just my own opinion.

      Yeahh, the pricing is really too tight with the Wigo , wish they could have lowered it a bit , although this one looks better exterior wise than the Wigo and as usual Toyota isn't as generous to put additional features like Hill Assist , ABS+EBD and EASS on the Wigo even their TRD does not have these features.

    • @blueknyght923
      @blueknyght923 Před rokem +20

      Sir, our daily service is Toyota Wigo G/AT. I think the main setback is: it is a gas-guzzler. It only runs around 11.3km/liter average. About 8 kmpl in the city, and 14 kmpl on highways. I personally am planning to switch to Suzuki S-Presso mainly due to that reason. I personally believe it is about the weight to power ratio. Wigo is heavier than s-presso, with the same displacement engine. Nxt reason is the windshield view has lots of blindspots on the sides, I had numerous instances of almost hitting somebody or something because I did not see earlier. There's so much mass covering your peripheral view. Don't install any of those side window visors. Toyota Raize has a much better peripheral view port if you really don't like s-presso.

    I say that the AGS S-presso is kinda too late in the Philppine market. If they just introduced the AGS feature along side with the M/T then it could have been a huge hit. You should go for the wigo instead of this for 680k another let down is the "Pawis Power" window at the back. Cmon Suzuki, you almost had me sold when you released the AGS version but the non-powered window at the back? You should have changed that.
