✨Best Products of 2023✨ ➡ amzn.to/3RTPJq9
I have only been on the curly girl bandwagon for about one year now. I am all the way through transition. What I would like to share is not a product per say, but a catagory. When I started using a hair oil to detangle before washing, it totally transformed my hair.
Anyone else need to build a hair care storage closet? Gotta figure something out. The cardboard box on the floor is overflowing and a toe-jammer!
😂 I have my stash in cardboard boxes too! I'm glad I'm not the only one. I need to figure something out too. I have very limited space.
Yes!🙋🏽♀️ My products have traveled to the hubby's side of the sink 🤦🏽♀️😂
Me too!!!!!!! You’re not the only one.
You spying on me again.
I have an overflow bin upstairs and cycle through products lol
I am like you, hating to use up the last of a product and I tend to grab them less when I get low until I repurchase it. So you are not alone in this.
I totally get slowing down the use of products when they get low. I do the same thing. I’m so grateful for your videos. After 47 years of life I’m wearing my curls daily for the first time and loving it! Thank you so much for all you do. Merry Christmas to you and yours 🙏🏻🎄🙏🏻
Your hair looks great! Soft waves is what I shoot for! Thanks for all your hard work, constantly pushing the bar in 2023. Here's to 2024!
Great video, Courtney! I tried the Briogeo gel because you loved it so much and now I'm hooked! Thanks! 👍🏻
Courtney, love ya girl. Your hair looks nice! I have tried several products after watching your vlogs. I liked them!
Merry Christmas. The Savior is born!
Courtney can you do a video on how to use scalp serums please! I love your videos thank you!
And yet another great video! Happy holidays Courtney. For me, the most surprising product line was Garnier Fructis Watermelon Treat shampoo and conditioner. I was staying at my brother’s house and it was in their guest bathroom. After trying it a couple of times, I had to rush out and find it. It wasn’t in Walgreens or CVS, Walmart or Target, but I managed to find it at the grocery store of all places. I couldn’t believe it and it literally eclipsed every other product I’ve ever used. It’s curly girl friendly, gives me the most incredible curl clumps and seems to work with whatever stylers I pair it with. I haven’t tried the deep conditioner but may have to give it a try.
I love these videos so i can aventure out to other products 😊 been following you since forever.
I discovered Divines hair gel last year and it’s been the best thing I’ve ever tried. I also find myself reaching for the not your mother’s mousse a ton. The mousse and the Divines could easily be one product wash and gos for me.
I’ve been watching you for three years now! Thank you. I appreciate how you always talk about which products like protein. My hair likes different things than you but since you talk about protein and moisture in products I feel like I always know what to try! Excited for another year of curly girl
Thank you! Glad this it was helpful in this way! Love how you are using the info!
I was so surprised how much my hair liked the curlsmith frizz free shampoo and conditioner. I still have a bit of frizz but my hair has more volume.
Great video! Thank you so much…..I cannot wait to try some of these!
Thank you! Glad it helped! Hope you find something you love!
Very informative video Courtney! Thanks so much for sharing these products!
Absolutely! Glad this helps!
I love the Briogeo mask but I've been making do with the minis but I will eventually have to purchase the full size. Sometimes I don't reach for it as I don't want to use up what little I have left. It is a fantastic mask. I love these yearly best product roundups. Happy holidays to you and yours!
Thanks, Courtney! Your hair still looks great in this video with all that shine and softness and those big, subtle waves. Do you ever style your hair with a small clip or barrette or anything between washes and refreshes? I have tiny jaw clips that I use to pin back my face framing pieces out of my face, but generally leave my hair down now.
I love your videos. Thx for all of them. I can see your glass shower door behind you. How do you keep it so clean and clear
Your hair is so shiny, I love it❤. I would say my favourite product from 2023 was the K18 clarifying shampoo, I like mine to moisturize my hair as I only wash once a week and use it about every other week. I wanted to love Briogeo gel but my hair doesn't like it, it made a strong cast, however my hair is odd and when I get an extra strong cast it falls so quickly after being scrunched out, even if I scrunch out the crunch hours after I finish blow-drying my hair. I like the rock hard gelee better and it works well with Recoil and the verb mousse gel. I love that one, I think I have finished 3 bottles but I need a hard hold gel on top.
I have tried and loved the Ouidad climate control line. The featherweight cream works so well for me.
Started using this line last year and still loving it!
Effortless waves!!!!! Oh that is good stuff. Honestly I don't even find that I have to use too much of this (but my hair is so easily weighed down by gels/mousses). And I get a cast!
My fave products of 2023 are the Briogeo scalp revival shampoo and the Alaffia leave-in conditioner for waves and loose curls.
I found Amika products and I LOVE them!!! I’ve been using the hair masks from there and am obsessed!
I love your soft unstrung curls, (I’m not there yet) but I love todays waves better an am still searching for the soft wave holy grail that doesn’t leave me fluffy, but still shows some wave definition
The curl smith hair makeup. It’s the perfect single styler I wish they also made it without color
I used Aussie's Sprunch for years as my styler. I will say, I love Bondi Boost's HG line. Their mask is as good as Curlsmith's Hydro boost mask.
My favorite curl products have been from Aveda, be curly styling creme does a lot. It's all I use, sometimes I add the confixor gel after I'm done drying and it adds a nice shine.
My favorite products this year are the gel and curl cream from Curl My World!
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
May God bless you & your's!
Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
The shampoo and conditioner that I love for 2023 is redken all soft. I know it's not curly girl friendly but it's the only line that helps my bleached hair.
Great video as always ❤❤❤ I had no idea that Shea Moisiture had that Apple Cider / Salicidic Acid shampoo ❤❤ is it safe to use everyday. Thank noticed that during the summer and winter I get the worst flakes. Not sure if it’s the weather or even stress, but my scalp gets really inflamed and extremely dry and itchy. I wouldn’t mind using this more than a couple of times a week to calm it down.
Did you try the Innersense foam- I create definition? I thought i saw a video where you used it. Just curious what you thought.
My favorite Shampoo when I need to feel CLEAN & have clean hair for more than a day is the Neutrogena T/Sal Therapeutic Shampoo for Scalp Build-up Control.
The only down side is that it needs to stay in your hair for a while to get the effects.
So, when I use it, after I put it in, I wash my body, do a full shave (not just under arms), brush my teeth, wash my face… everything… before rinsing out.
Then condition as usual.
Harry's gel from walmart. Hands down best gel. I mix in my hand with a bit of water for better slip when applying.
Thank you Courtney for a great video
Thank you Lisa! God bless you and your family!
Have you ever heard of/used attitude super leaves curl moisturizing shampoo and conditioner? Thoughts?
For me, the new discovery of 2023 is Davines Love Curl; the whole line IT’S AMAZING 😮
My hair has never felt so good and healthy 👍
For the Pacifica combo do you just to the rinse as shampoo then use mask? This not a pre poo treatment right?
Try pin curls with bobby pins. So much more comfortable than sock curls
gray hair - dry and cotton candy frizz on crown and around face - then black/gray for all the rest - total different texture - plenty of hair for being 76 - recommendations???
Try vosene it even strips out semi permanent dye and makes your hair squeak
I’d really like my hair look like yours…❤
Where can I buy Miche? I can’t find it in the list.
Frizzy, wavy hair that are coconut/coconut oil/ cocoa/cocoa butter free? Husband has severe allergies to these and I have a hard time finding something without them that works well.
What did you use on the day you filmed this?
Have you used any xmondo stuff? I love his foam
Thanks for this! I've wanted to try his products. I've heard gppd things!
Some of these items listed when going through your links show out of stock, and if I’m guessing…discontinued??
I think the moose should be one that I would actually want to try I feel like my problem I have with most mousses is the product disappears before I can even put in my hair
I tried the Marc Anthony mousse. It is great. Amazing hold for a foam.
I’m living overseas and need to have a curated list of a few products I can pack or ship. I don’t have as much access over there.
Is it the briogeo cream or gel?
I had a great routine then was in a house fire and moved to a new house with much harder water. I have NOT been able to find a good routine. If I don't wash my hair every day, my head feels dirty and gross. Looking for help. I have, I think fine hair that can be super curly or just wavy
I need a new refresher and want to try the Miche Boost Leave In/Refresher but can't find it anywhere. Miche Beauty website doesn't even have it. Can anyone link me to the secret cave it lives in??
I loved the shea moisture apple cider vinegar shampoo and conditioner. Otherwise, I’ve had my old faithfuls: Curlsmith multitasking conditioner, weightless air dry cream, blue hair gel and bouncy strength foam.
Do you use the shea moisture Apple cider everyday or do you use it as needed??
@@dennissems my hair doesn’t really seem to be bothered by the apple cider vinegar shampoo every day. I love a double cleanse so sometimes I’ll use it with the strength shampoo.
@@rebachick94 great. Thank you for your response 😘😍
It can be a little more clarifying...
Great picks!
Are these products for fine curly hair?
Exciting to be first.
The Pantene miracle rescue conditioner has bis-aminoproyl dimethicone which is not water soluble, contrary to what she said in the video
I really enjoyed Treluxe's new deep conditioner this year. I have been using all their other products for years.
Now i want to go shopping. Lol
I like your hair wavy❤
Awe, thank you! 🥰
I bought the Briogeo gel on your recommendation. I guess my hair is just too different from your . I am a 60-year-old white woman with 2B to C waves and curls. My hair is not dry. It is shoulder length and naturally gray. That gel doesn’t last three hours for me until my hair is just limp waves I’ve tried using a ton of it. I’ve tried using it very little and everything in between I’ve tried all kinds of other creams and stylers underneath it and after it, but I can’t get it to work. I need a much firmer hold gel.by the way, I’m in Mississippi, where it is very humid I would love to see you rank gels in order of firmness, because I need to try something at the strongest end of the line.
The closest thing I found to lasting a few hours for me is a sport gel from Dollar Tree
Bouncecurl brush for best styling tool of 2023!
👀👀
Cant find moptop curl cream anywhere online or in store for canadians.
The only retailer I know of for MopTop in Canada is Curl Warehouse out of Calgary, but it looks like they don't have the curl cream or the hemp hair oil. But they have all the other MopTop products, and they do online orders/in person retail. I don't know if that helps. 😅
"moose" 😂
Any chance you’ve tried some FRAGRANCE FREE products that you like??
I’m allergic to most fragrance ingredients and also limonene, which is in EVERY gel ever…. I’m having a super hard time finding wavy hair products I’m not allergic to 😩😢
She used Curlsmith Shine gel (strong hold number 9) in a video of hers I just watched from a year ago. Their whole Shine range is fragrance free 🙂
This is the ingredients list:
WATER (AQUA),
POLYQUATERNIUM-69,
GLYCERIN,
PEG-40 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL,
HUMULUS LUPULUS (HOPS) EXTRACT,
JASMINUM OFFICINALE (JASMINE) FLOWER EXTRACT,
CITRUS LIMON (LEMON) PEEL EXTRACT,
CARBOMER,
ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN,
DISODIUM EDTA,
BUTYLENE GLYCOL,
AMINOMETHYL PROPANOL,
SODIUM BENZOATE,
PHENOXYETHANOL,
IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE
I disagree with the notion of using a deep conditioner for 30 minutes after using a sulfate shampoo. Those of us with fine, low density hair might not need this as it may negate the benefits of clarifying. If you need it, use it, but not everybody needs it.
Agree. On occasion, my hair needs more conditioning than I did, so I wash my hair in the next few days and condition again.
I also agree and it has a lot to do with the conditioner that I use. I keep trying different ones, but I always go back to the inahsi.
That one is perfect for lighter hair because it never ways down my hair and I never feel of over moisturized.
Every time I get a recommendation for a different one and try it it always over moisturizes me even if I only leave it on for a few minutes but I also add protein to it
@@Seypup I use the Curlsmith one with no fragrance. I think it's the Shine line. I could hardly believe it didn't weigh my hair down. I often add protein to it as well. What protein do you add? I've never tried the Inahsi.
At most, I may leave it in for 5 mins or less...but don't have the patience for 30 mins. 😅
That’s the thing. Formulations have come along way but the fear mongering seems to stay the same. I wonder why 🤔
Your hair still looks nice. Just my opinion
Thank you!
Try Wow mouse best ever . not curly one like foam
Using a mousse as a leave-in.. 🤔 I just may have to try that.
I just wanted to wish you and yours a very merry & blessed Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Merry Christmas 🙌🏻
i dont know why i never realized hair mask was a deep conditoner
It's tricky!
Isn’t that Briogeo a curl crème, not a gel?
I like the gel specifically from Briogeo. I haven't tired their cream in a long time.
@@SwavyCurlyCourtneyokay, I was confused because you were holding up the leave-in crème.
I got confused too
Unpopular opinion I’m sure - but think your hair looks lovely like this 😂
Awe thank you!
I don’t think your hair looks bad I like it I we our worst Credit
The Shea Moisture Anti Dandruff was the worst shampoo I have ever tried. It turned it into a tangled nasty mess. Do not recommend for wavy/low porosity hair!
I have gotten to the point in my haircare journey that I love how my hair is with silicones and not so crazy about it without silicones. I now mostly skip conditioners that don't have silicones. I have SO many products that sometimes I forget about what I have. I have a sickness. I know. I am trying to deal with it. I have the same problem with makeup and skin care.
I am the SAME! Silicones suit my hair so I just go with it. I'm trying so hard to use a product up before getting another but it is difficult.
