Nasty to fat shame your own sister..jealousy is a horrible trait
And she has a lovely figure, I think. She does have more weight on her than what society thinks she should, but slimmer isn't always healthier (contrary to popular belief). She looks similar in size to people I know who are naturally a little on the bigger side, but still eat well and exercise.

Marah Baker I did that for my own wedding. Then at the meet & greet at the reception I was ‘kindly’ informed that my dress was the same as the grooms cousins dress. 😤. Sometimes advice/opinion before the big day can be a good thing. 😉

Honestly, the sisters do have fairly similiar figures. If you ask me, the other sister is being rude and negative because she's jealous that the bride is confident, and embraces her curves while she is insecure about them herself, and is trying to bring her down. At the end of the day the BRIDE'S final say is what matters, in my opinion she looked gorgeous in all of the dresses. Also, the mother should have stepped in, she was just sitting there all quiet while the sister was saying all those rude things to the other, and being so negative, and just letting her. I would've kicked the other daughter out tbh.

@@Moonnine34 Because their mother raised them and allowed the behaviour to continue from childhood, that's why. You raise your children equally, try to discourage jealous feelings between siblings, give time to them both and make them both feel special, so then hopefully one doesn't feel better than the other...that's why. And certainly as a mum you don't stay silent when one sister is being a bitch to the other.
It’s not always the moms fault. My brother and I have a very very toxic relationship but my mom did an amazing job raising us and always told us not to fight and would scold us when we fought

I'm sorry for being so cruel with truth, but I can't imagine being nasty towards my brother. I'll argue with him about day to day stuff like turning the music down or having turns in watching the favourite shows, but when it comes to important things he'll always have my back no matter what. Your brother is your closest relative, your own blood.

I don’t understand how sisters can be so hateful and jealous of each other. When my younger sister was getting married (she is the prettier one of us) and I had several people ask me if I was jealous. How can you even think that way?! I have the best sisters ever, and I can be without a single friend but have them and it’s more than enough

I don't have a sister, I have a younger brother so have no idea how sisters would react. But my son is 7 and definitely showing jealousy of his other brothers on his father's side. He has 2 younger brothers.
My twin girls are only 4 so of course they don't know jealousy yet or any of that but I hope they stay close and love each other.
I can't imagine being jealous either if I had a sister, but I do understand how it can come about. Unfortunately my parents favored my younger brother more. Actually my mother (who I don't speak to at all now for multiple reasons) downright degraded and belittled me and made me feel so stupid compared to my brother.
Maybe that's how jealousy can start? I was never jealous of him, but it did make me very upset.

JodiLea I’m sorry your parents were that way with you and your brother! People who have some kind of narcissistic personality disorder do that often. Don’t know of course about your parents, but it does so much damage!
I do think it has soooo much to do with how the parents raise. Of course it does depend on the personality of the siblings as well, but parents can help cultivate a friendship or bring a lifelong wedge.
My mom always would tell us about how friends come and go, but sisters are forever. She made us share. We were in a rather poor situation when young, and she bought us one ball, and when we fought about it, she told us she would cut it in half if we didn’t get along. We were a year apart and shared clothes and shared room, and constantly reminded about being friends.
My sister now makes sure her kids play with each other even if they have friends or cousins over. If one is being excluded she will on the spot tell them they can’t play with friends if they aren’t playing with each other first. In high school kids would tell us how it’s so awesome that we were sisters and actually liked each other, and we were told this often. And it’s true about the friends, we had some friends here and there but life goes on and friendships stop but we always have each other, and our older sister as well, who is 6 years older. Be proactive in making sure they stay good to each other. Like in the video the mom doesn’t even seem to care. But we should care.
Today my mom is saying the same thing to all of us about our kids: make sure all the cousins spend time together, make time, spend money, but do fun things together and make memories and they will always have friends.
Good luck with your girls. I hope they stay friends, too. It’s the best kind of friendship ever.

How an older sister can constantly belittle your look, your ideals and dreams? Speaking from personal experience here as the youngest sister. Siblings can really suck sometimes. :[
