Sade was in a class of her own. Nobody did it like her before or since. She’s her own genre. Classy, cool, emotional, beautiful.

She is classy, exquisite, elegant... no female singer today has even a fraction of her class. The whole band is amazing, they've always been way ahead of their time!

Y'all should pull up a live performance and watch at your leisure. I saw her live in the early 90's. It was just her, the band and one very dark handsome man singing background. They were both dressed in pure white. She had on a long flowing skirt and a top that showed her mid drift. She performed the whole show barefooted. It was amazing.

OH MY GOD. More Sade please. 😅 Not only is this woman super talented... there is something about her energy that is very pleasing. She's incredible live... one of the most amazing concerts I've ever seen. I agree, however, studio versions should be heard first.

I am really wistful about the journey that you guys are going to go on with Sade. This is all new to you and it's going to be such a wonderful ride. You have got so many songs to listen to from her and her band. Nothing can come between us is probably the next thing you should listen to from that first opening Shuffle to the embedded funk all the way through that song. Cherish the day is going to be an auditory revelation for you and then Is It a Crime, The Sweetest Taboo, and more.

Sade is a goddess. Her music is definitely a vibe. Smooth jazz at its best. The perfect accoutrement for a low-key soiree with a few close friends in a tropical location with warm breeze blowing the sunsetting and casting brilliant shades of orange and purple and libations all around. Warm and fuzzy feelings. By Your Side, Cherish the Day, Lovers Rock, Paradise, All About Our Love, Bulletproof Soul, The Moon and the Sky, In Another Time, Somebody Already Broke My Heart, Soldier of Love.... The Classics - The Sweetest Taboo, Is It a Crime, Your Love is King, Kiss of Life, No Ordinary Love

I experienced Sade in real time when she emerged on the scene, and over her amazing career. And the amazing thing is she never followed the trends. She (and her band) always had their own sound. And no one else sounded like Sade, whether it was her first album, Diamond Life in 1984, through to Soldier of Love in 2010. Saw her live at Irvine Meadows, in Orange CA, in 1993, and she and her band are incredible live. Incredible.

The sound in the 90's was SO diverse though. We had this, we had rock, we had eurodance, we had trance, we had rnb, we had rap. That's probably the most eclectic decade of all time in music history in mainstream. Even a New-age band like Enigma managed to get a #1 hit lol

SADE is Anglo-Nigerian. She went to school in England and started her career in London and got her break by accident. She wasn’t the lead singer in a band but when they heard her that was it. She now lives in England. You should watcher live aid performance from 1985 Wembley. As an added you should also watch Sam Brown doing her single “Stop”. She’s another British R&B singer that also sung back up for Pink Floyd.

Nick, since you brought up Barry White, the recently deceased Toby Keith sang the BW song, "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up" on his friend Wayman Tisdale's smooth-jazz album, "Rebound." It was a musical departure for Keith, known of course as a C&W artist. Tisdale was a former All-America basketball player for the University of Oklahoma Sooners, and spent about nine years in the NBA as a power forward, mostly with the Indiana Pacers. Tisdale passed away from cancer in 2009, shortly after the release of "Rebound." Keith later did a jazz-flavored tribute on his own album for Tisdale, called "Cryin' for Me (Wayman's Song)." I figured since you were exploring jazz a little bit more, this might be a good one to check out. Tisdale started his career as a bassist after his NBA career was done, and he played left-handed, like Paul McCartney and Jimi Hendrix.

Sade Adu is the full name of the vocalist of Nigerian origin, they are certainly a very talented group, I listened to all their popular songs, this group has quite a few popular songs, it’s difficult to single out something, plus millions of views on CZcams, so, this is a mixture of jazz, pop and vibe, the vibe is present in almost every song, of course I like the very first albums of the group, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1988, and the beginning of the 90s, I always wrote that the best time in the era of the music industry fell from 1967 to 1992, 25 years of the golden era, then everything went downhill. Be sure to come back to Sade a little later, it's worth it!

Do you know how many babies were born to her music? I loved her music so much that I named my cat Sade.

Sade is what you play in the bedroom during that special time with your lover. So smooth!
