hello, in this video was the welding machine before or after with the modification of the microwave oven transformer?
I also bought this welding machine but I immediately encountered the problem that it has little power, the points it performs are very weak and often do not hold up.
At this point I also intend to modify it and put a modified microwave oven transformer.
Otherwise it is unusable as it arrives!

I get pretty upset with canon and the price they charge for bateries so I love the idea of doing replacing the cells. However, I have to ask is this really worth it by the time you buy the spot welder and new cells. I have switched to buying promaster bateries and really think they are pretty darn good compared to the canon batteries. Anyone else have any thoughts?

So this is now a 1300mah battery, the one that comes with the unit is a 1800?

Hi friend, the newer ones installed are 18500 or 18480? Mine is exactly the same blue battery like yours. I saw another vídeo with 18500 ones replacing originals ones. Does it fit in same case?

You can't trust the 18xxx numbers for precise actual dimensions. Only way to know is to measure new versus old.

I replaced both Canon battery cells in LP-E6N. After charging in the Canon charger and inserting it into the camera, the indicator still shows me the wrong performance level - 1x red bar. Does anyone know why 3 green bars do not appear after exchanging battery cells?

Because Canon put something in the batterysoftware that blocks that. This software is also cummunicating with the camera so that the camera knows that the battery is genuine or not. Also cummunicating with the original charger....that's why the charger is fast blinking (and not or very slow charging) when putting non originals batteries in it. As far as i know is the red bar nothing more then something to forge you to buy new batteries.

Did you test the new cells independently before soldering them in? Perhaps one or both cells are defective or low quality. Are you sure the old LP-E6N is genuine? Not an aftermarket or counterfeit that doesn't support proper firmware response? I can't imagine the genuine firmware is able to recognize new cells as Canon "approved" brand or not, because it is just a voltage source. Perhaps the later firmware refuses to cooperate when it detects a cell disconnect and replacement (i.e., loss of all voltage and reset).
