It's 12/12/2023, I'm having dinner & my kid is watching 'First wives club', I'm not paying much attention to it. Then I hear a voice and "Love is on the way". I'm like who has that voice! I searched for it and here I am. Can't believe it came out in 1996 and I never heard it! I'm completely pissed that I've lost 27yrs of not hearing this amazing song. Only knew of Billy 2 months ago.

I first heard this song when I went to see "First Wives Club." I couldn't believe the sound of that voice. I had to find out who the artist was, so I went and bought the soundtrack from the movie. After that, I went on SiriusXM and found all his music. Of course, I played "Love Will Find A Way" over and over. He is my favorite playlist. He voice is pure that it gives you chills.
When I first heard this in The First Wives Club, I was instantly a die-hard fan. I recently heard he acquired the rights to James Baldwin's biography to play him...he's gonna KILL IT.

I remember where I was when I first heard this song. I was in the movie theater waiting for the "First Wives Club" to start. It came on over the sound system as they played the soundtrack to the movie. I was MESMERIZED! Just as I am every time I hear it since. I had heard "Show Me" as well as the name Billy Porter, but this was a sweet experience I needed in my life. I went to buy the CD the next day. Then I had the pleasure of going to his one man show at The Public Theater in NYC. He did it live...WERK Billy WERK! Over the years this has been a staple on my inspirational and "need a good cry" playlists. It's July 2023 and I'm listening to his book "Unprotected." I just finished the chapter where he goes in about this song. Had to come and listen to a live take. Mr. Porter, I have had the blessing to meet and witness your gift in person. Thank you for CHOOSING to stand in your worth and shine brighter because you're brave enough to also be TRUE to all that is you. You have been and will always be a light for me!!!
I have always loved the soundtrack and movie, The First Wives Club growing up as a teenager. And every time that scene comes up where the best friends get in to a fight, this song comes on and it really puts me in my feelings. Now in my late 30s and having been a fan of Pose since it first premiered, I didn’t know that this was THE Billy Porter. I’m now realizing, I have loved this artist, his personality, n talent since the 90s.
