I love how he uses a live band. U don’t see a lot of pop artists use live bands nowadays so this is nice and It shows how much he appreciates the musicianship and the actual music behind it I think

The thing about a Joji concert is that you know he's not a high-level singer like those can hit the high notes and sing beautifully live on stage, you still wanna be there for the vibe, and all Joji songs are relatively easy to sing along, which is goosebump enough. The performer and the audience, all become one. Also he progresses well in the way he sings compared to those previous concert, knowing what he's capable of and adjusts it accordingly. Also the band really makes this whole show a highlight. I enjoyed the full 1 hour of this show. Wish I was there
Wouldn't say he isn't a "high-level" singer as he sings and performs very well. But I think we're so used to over-produced-singing that he's such a fresh wind. And he put's a lot of emotion into what he's doing so yes - like you say - people just can easily relate just like I do. Just wanna say: you put it well together in your comment.' Slow dancing in the dark' just shows the very special connection to the audience. And yes - the live band makes it so much more vibrant. I am glad he chose a band for his performance.

Beautiful set, Joji has definitely cleaned his vocals up. Only issue with this set compared to his performance in London, is that he allowed the sad songs to be sad. Rather than having the hype man in every track in this performance.
I swear, the ad libs lose their hype effect when he is ad libing every single thing.

We're grateful for him to have been there for us when we needed him as mid adults growing up and so now we're still grateful for him being there for us now more than ever and always will be, forever. God bless you Joji and everything you've done for us in this life and before we grew up.

I can see how some people hate the hype man but I watched Joji live last year and the hype man was actually making us all hyped. Him being there is waaaaay better live than in a video. His voice doesn’t overpower the music as much as it does in this video

The thing is, if they just mixed him out here, this could be the best live recording of Joji to date.
Just my humble opinion. Been a fan for years, and back then Joji couldn't sing as clearly as now due to his throat tissue healing from the early years.
Also hypin durin the guitar solo is hella disrespectful.

It was an absolutely surreal experience, one I will never forget, truly the best day of my life. I finally got to see my #1 favorite artist; he even pointed and smiled at me! My friends were there to share this moment with me. I cried tears of happiness when it was over.. I never did that before! The whole crowd singing along with most of the songs made it that much more wonderful. Saw him again 3 days later in Amsterdam with my mom, this time with SavageRealm, Lil Toe and Rei Brown as supporting acts. It was a magical experience all over again. I lost my voice for a good couple of days but it was so worth it! Joji, I love you, you've inspired me and countless other people! (And you absolutely ROCK the mullet)

I was a fan of him before his music which a lot of people know what that means. He's still the person who created his old characters but hes so much more as an entertainer and person. So cool to see him come so far and achieve what he has.
The original releases Joji has dropped have always been a hit and miss for me. "Run" was a surprise for me, I loved the guitar added to the track. When I listen to this live performance it makes me wish he keeps with the guitar/piano/drum live band aspect. Night Rider with the live band is such a cool ass sound, I've never heard the OG track but when I listened to it I definitely was disappointed with how empty it sounded compared to this performance. I just hope he releases a live album with a live band soon (preferably without the hypeman spam lmao).

@@sebas288 nectar was real good i wasnt satisfied with smithereens tho cus its an "album" with 7 songs which makes it more of an EP and theres only like 3 songs that are like ACTUALLY good without bias being Glimpse of Us Die For You and YUKON, im not sure which one or if they were even fully written by him but still i enjoy the songs

Joji has an understated type of singing and he has great control of his voice, the kind that works on the type of song he's singing. Not everybody has to do acrobatics like Sam Smith. Definitely a great singer.
