Together with 2 friends we decided to buy the legendary Uaz Bukhanka and drive it home from Kyrgyzstan to the Netherlands. You liked it? Subscribe for more video's!
This video was incredibly interesting to watch but just two things on it tho, first: I wish you added English subtitles for the parts where you speak a different language and two: I please get a camera that doesn't record at 5fps
Hey man! amazing video, and super cool adventure! I was wandering what did you do with the bukhanka afterwards? I had the Idea of doing a similar trip and bringing the bukhanka all the way to the netherlands, was it easy to get the plates for it since it was coming from outside the EU? cheers :)
Hey! So we drove it to the Netherlands but we did not got it registred in the Netherlands. I would have been too expensive for me to get trough the APK with this Buhanka :p . We sold it to 4x4 Verbeek (he also sells UAZ Buhanka) .
@@alternative_lives Hi, I am currently importing a old bukhanka from hungary to the Netherlands. If you want I can give you more answers on cost and what it takes.

Hey! Don't know if you keep up with comments here, but my three friends and I actually owned this exact same Buhanka before Alex had it! We had great adventures in Kyrgyzstan with it in the winter of 2015 and 2016 that we still talk about today! Do yall still have it in the Netherlands? Where did the Buhanka eventually end up?
haha nice! So you bought the Bukhanka in 2015 in order to use it as transport and go on adventures? It finally broke down on the highway in the Netherlands. Eventually we sold it to a mechanic in the Netherlands 4x4 Verbeek who is importing Bukhanka's into the Netherlands. They could not fix it but they use it as a showroom model in their Garage.
@@typho623 Haha yeah, we bought that same Bukhanka in 2015 in December from a huge car lot west of Bishkek, and we used it to tour around the country! It was so awesome!! But yeah, it broke down multiple times on us as well. At the end, I had to leave and I got rid of it to the guy who helped us buy it. He must have sold it to Alex. I'm actually living in Germany now... at some point I'll have to make it to the Netherlands to see if I can find that place you mentioned then and take a look! Do you know if they sell used Bukhanka's that meet the standard test for Germany? Just curious! haha
Cool adventure! We're currently doing something similar with a Lada Niva, but are not able to get insurance on our car (which is mandatory in the EU). How did you guys manage that?
We did not really have a problem with the insurance in Europe that I remember. I think we had a green card insurance for whole of europe and we ordered it online.

@@typho623 oh that's sad :( was it particulary expensive because of the veichle? you know more less how much was it?
@@alternative_lives I'm sorry I don't know how much it should be to get a old UAZ Buhanka through the dutch APK. But 4x4 Verbeek knows more about it.

@@janeczkaunicus3995 I really dont't know anymore how much it has costed us. I bought the bukhanka for 1600 dollar.
Машина хорошая, но вы купили со старым мотором, от этого и проблемы. Хороший мотор zmz 409
18:20 min. 1500 km - long journey. Where is this road? From which city to which city?
pff i dont know exactly anymore,, it was somewhere in between Shalkar and Aqtou north of the Aral lake
Reliable, huh?
Wat is er met de uaz gebeurt?
Die was helemaal Total loss toen we in Nederland aankwamen. Garage kreeg hem niet meer aan de praat hij staat nu in de showroom bij 4x4 verbeek.
