Roebert Pinsky - some poetic ability, very clever how he presents himself and the craft, but, in my experience as an alumnus of the BU Creative Writing programme in the 1990s (and in the words of one of the Centre's own long-standing secrtatries, and mine), 'egocentric', untrustworthy, and mean. Mark Strand's talent is of an other order entirely, and is reportedly also humble and charming.
