Such clear concise instructions really easy to follow and the narrative was right on point Thankyou I’ve been looking for this kind of information for ages I’m super grateful to come across this fabulous colours
Thank you so much for this video. I have grown my own indigo and although am making indigo powder - I have some spare plants/leaves so might try your methods over the weekend. J xx
Anna = this was three years ago now and i am curious about what has happened with these samples.. is there any follow up on how colorfast they turne out to be ? July 2024 now and i am harvesting my third smallish crop of Japanese indigo. I have done several processing methods the first two years but am interested in using the fresh leaves this year with Michel Garcia’s “new” fresh_dried_chopped>make a vat method. OR one of your three to color some vintage cotton and linen napkins.. i don’t want to waste me small harvest.. could you recommend any of these three methods for that? I have never done your second method.. thank you

Thank you from Belgium

Can you do this with dry leaves?
Do you have previously mordanted your textile and wool ?
Is it colorfast?
What is the name of these leaves called indgo and what kind of plant does it belong to?
Probably Japanese indigo based on the shape of the leaves.
