$300 for manufactured patches and sticker autos. Big fail by upper deck. These boxes were $120 back in 2019.

How is UD this bad at collation? I watched a lot of breaks of this today and more than a few had repeat players like your Nesterenko pulls. It's uncanny how often it happens.
Surprised its under 300$ a box, obviously absurd price still, but i was expecting more after what series 2 prices got to.
These cards are honestly ugly as hell the letterman are the only good hits out of this box. The numbers on most of these cards ruin the card completely

Yup, those days are long gone. My local card store is closing. We're a hockey city here in Winnipeg, and nobody is buying cards at $35 a pack.

There's 35 of each letter, so there's a few out there. Not even game used, it's pretty much a $5 card

Seeking advice for holding/owning a Bedard young gun?? Selling on EBay approx range $450. to $550. (non PSA). What should I do? Sell as is, get PSA’d or just hold for my grandkids….. many many many years down the road?
Damn, sorry the box was a dud. I don’t get how upper deck can put that pack together and be like “oh yeah, the customers going to feel like they at least got their money worth with this one!” UD just hates us at this point I think
That was an average box, not even a dud. True rookie and HOF marks. Most are even worse. It's on people to stop buying this horse shit, but of course group breakers seem full and people want to chase Bedard. I'd rather almost do anything else with my money and I love hockey cards.

At least you got a patch. I got a Kevin Fiala netcord card & that's about all the value I got. Man UD is really pissing me off. Enough just to only buy singles until they maybe 1 day go bankrupt & let some other competent company takeover. Yes I know "Buyer Beware" but I would've been somewhat happy with a crap player auto but nope nothing .... again. >:( I'm going to ride out this 2023-24 year cuz Bedard's in it & I already have other pre-orders ... but after that I'm done.
Just go to Fabricland and make your own cards. Maybe that’s what UD does.

Guys the hobby is built on breaking not buying 1-2 boxes. You either join breaks or buy a case to ensure yourself a case hit.
I think I'll watch a few more vids to determine if I'll purchase this or not....so far it's a No go haha

Price point is ridiculous. Market has obviously sank since 2020.
The products have become very diluted since 2020 but the prices are also well up. Both of those ensure you get bent over big time. Breaking is causing high prices. Without breaking wax would drop by 50% overnight. Breaking has a place in the hobby but there is way too much of it and it's obviously being driven by degenerate gamblers. No one who appreciates money would continually keep going in breaks. It's the biggest waste of money.

I also am surprised there isn’t as much of a pushback when it comes to sticker auto product. The craziest part is these huge distributors/vendors such as D&A or Laytons get these boxes for about $40 a piece I bet. I had a friend who had a southern hobbies account in 2020. I was blown away when he told me a Box of Panini National Treasures only cost them $80, and was flipped at the time for $800.

Sooo. Not a fan? Well. I mean. They are overprinting cases in 23/24, like the late 80s meets early 2000s. This means the Bedard SSP in products like SPGU will remain uber rare. The issue to me is more their sell sheets. All the photos UD pre-releases on their website is chase legends and 1/1, aka product hits, as if they actually exist in nature. Emoting at UD makes ppl feel better, which is how social media is monetized. But really I would say -- at these prices (i.e. gambling levels) -- mass psychology needs a shrink. The silver lining is non 23/24 boxes are tanking, due to the flood.

@@Looch1717 Economically, I'm describing "irrational exuberance," which is what occurs at all-time market highs, or during parabolic moves in prices. Irrational exuberance typically precedes either crashes or losses. Economics is mass psychology, not science.

Upper Deck is now trying to push the price as high as possible so everyone gets used to it being the new norm. Just like car prices after covid...its the new norm to pay 50k for a car. Your better of just buying PSA 10's of the players you want. Sad but true. It's taken all the fun put of opening packs.

Imagine getting absolutely robbed by this product. Seriously though there are breakers doing case breaks and charging per box for the Blackhawks in a 18 box pyt case break. The scalping never stops.
