What if you put 2.99 in the machine hours ago is the a way to deduct that amount from daily total

Omg how complicated was that! I didn't understand a word of it
Today I keyed in £900 instead of £9.00. I tried to correct it myself, not knowing what I was doing, and entered ANOTHER £900, I tried to cancel, didn't work, then I entered the correct amount £9.00 and on pressing cash tend to open the draw, the machine showed I'd inputted nearly two grands worth of sales
I still don't know how to correct this. I've now used the z button for the week's total and just had to write a note explaining the error
