Never heard this band before , was watching some old Craig Ferguson show clips of interviews with Shirley ... looked up the band on Spotify , man I'm hooked ... they are terrific ... binge watch the I Think I'm Paranoid video regularly , think that's my favorite song from Garbage ... oh , and I'm 66 years young !!

Mos def. Totally miss the '90s, the last good decade. The '00s were ok but the last decade (2010-2020) has been garbage, the world and people have gone insane and is pretty much fucked now, not sure how we got to this point but at least we still have the '90s and prior for good memories. 😷🤘✌️

Was, is, and always will be talented and gorgeous.
I had a big crush on Shirley Manson when I was around 12-13. Now I’m 36 and my taste hasn’t changed :) loved the music too they had some great music out in the 90s.
Shirley Manson and Garbage captured me at the ripe age of 18, fresh out of HS. I remember working in a record store when I saw that pink album cover "Garbage". I thought hrm..weird. Then I heard "Queer" on the radio and thought the song was really interesting and different for the time. Is that loops and samples mixed with instruments? I also loved her voice. She sung with a very understated and seductive style like I had never heard before with excellent lyrics. Eventually I caught the video on MTV and I was like wait, this is Garbage? 😆 Who is she? Oh, Butch Vig is the drummer? I got the album right away and could not believe the level of consistency from "Supervixen" to "Milk".
As each video was released over the 90s it was very clear Shirley was mesmerizingly beautiful (goodness her eyes 😍), a fierce attitude, and a unique style of her own.
Years later, thanks to CZcams I was able to catch the many interviews the band has done. You can tell they are the best of friends, great sense of humor, humility, and just outright good human beings! And what can I say, Shirley has blown my mind in her interviews (especially the Craig Ferguson ones). As much as the outside is appetizing to the eye (and it is) it's her personality that cements it for me. Talk about "checking all the boxes" I still can't believe she's like... actually "real". 😍

Saw Garbage live with my daughter in Auburn WA with Alanis Sept 2021, then again a couple weeks ago. They just get better and better.
Everything about this studio production is perfect. Music, performance, focus on Shirley dressed in red, camera work, studio editing. And the most perfect front woman!

+Drinks_on_me A band can go double plantinum, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll have market longevity. By word of mouth even, I think their underrated. I have asked 14 ladies friends if they ever listen to this band, and they just said I have heard of them or there alright. 2 lady friends said they were fans, but only for 3 years. It's been a long time since I have heard this band on radio. But I do believe they were somewhat underrated. The band No Doubt got talked about a lot more from where I lived. I happened to like this band better though. Have a good one.

I was always their fan, from ~2000 year, but right now I'm listening to it and I think that back in those times I wasn't even understand how really good their music are. It's just crazy how much different things and styles it mixes, and they make it in so melodic and groovy way.

This is my favorite Garbage song.
I wish I lived in the 90,s. My dad told me all about it. He played in an awesome rock band. He went to AIC concerts, toadies concerts, guns n roses concerts, stone temple pilots concerts, and only so much more. It sounds like the funnest thing I could imagine. WE COULD SAY THAT POP TOOK OVER BUT THAT CANT STOP US FROM ROCKING ALL NIGHT LONG AND STUPID PEOPLE LISTEN TO THAT STUPID HIP HOP AND POP. PEOPLE THAT MAKE SENSE LISTEN TO ROCK. I DONT CARE THAT IM IN 4TH GRADE AND EVERYONE IS LISTENING TO HIP HOP AND POP BECAUSE I LISTEN TO ROCK ONLY. I was in grad school. You could actually listen to the radio on your daily commute and hear a wide range of interesting and original music. Like your dad, I played in a band every weekend that was popular in our town. I appreciated just those simple things and looking back on it today, it's easy to see why.
