"Women make a vast number consumer decisions. So if you do not have 40% to 50% women representation, you will not be able to make the right calls on what offerings you have and what to serve to women consumers because you won't be able to empathise enough with the needs of the consumers," said Abhiraj Singh Bhal, co-founder and CEO of Urban Company, at CNBC-TV18's Future Female Forward College Connect event at IIT Delhi.
