- Rest in Peace Mac Miller. Late in 2016 I had the opportunity to sit in with Jon Batiste and Stay Human on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. During my time on the show I had the pleasure of playing for Mac Miller. It was an experience I'll never forget, he seemed like a really genuinely funny and sweet person. Love and peace to him and his family.

I never heard of Mac Miller until after he died. That said, from my perspective as someone who grew on the East Coast, I’m AMAZED at out how these kids on the West Coast have downloaded the MFSB/Dexter Wansel ‘70s vibe in the 21st Century. And, Miller and Anderson .Paak were destined to be the Miles Davis and Gil Evans of Hip-Hop: Gone too soon. R.I.P. Mac.

I saw Anderson Paak this past weekend at a music festival where he headlined. His last song was Dang and had Mac Miller vocals over it. Very emotional. Closed out the set with a giant pic of the two guys and I lost it. RIP for ever and ever Mac and thank you for everything.
