- Installing no cut frame sliders on Hayabusa from T-Rex Racing. Purchased from E-bay approx $180. Job could be done in approx. 2 hours.

2008 Busa owner here, dropped mine in a parking lot $5k to fix. $180 is dirt cheap, I will be getting a set of these and some helibars. Great video.

did u add loctite on the cross bar? the last 2 t rex no cut sliders ive dealt with have loosen up over time and it vibrates. making a slight buzz sound.
Yes I did, that will eliminate the cause you're describing and more important you limit the risk of having something flying off.

It's been 3 years since you posted. Did you get into any wrecks and see how it holds up? I went on a slide twice and my vortex frame slider didn't protect my fairings. My stator cover broke twice too. I got a stator guard installed now. That frame slider in your video doesn't look like it sticks out much. I also will be getting frame sliders to connect where the exhaust would connect.
@@seahawksforever9504 thankfully I didn't have any wrecks. Frame sliders only protect the bike if dropped at a standstill. I don't think there's a frame slider that can protect at a higher speed fall.
I didn't catch the torque spec on those engine mounting bolts. Was it 120 ft / lbs or maybe it was 74½. I just can't remember. Oh well, I'll just monkey fist the shit out of it and call it good.

So if this falls over it only protects engine, and fairings? What does it land on in the back the exhaust and foot peg?
That's a good question but hopefully we never have to find out 😅 depending on the exhaust it could land on it, yes. It might not protect the entire bike but at least it'll protect the plastics.
I saw t-Rex also had some axel sliders, what do you think about those?

Are you sure about the left side spacer because it looks like it’s a bit outside the frame
Positive, never had any issues all this time, no movement no nothing.
G’day mate looks like they don’t fit on the gen1. They look fairly bulky for me. I drilled my firings and put the some rubber grommets in the holes when I removed the sliders looks nice and neat. I guess I don’t like the look of them. Cheers Busa

Today I came here to watch this clip because landing my busa from the stand and forgetting the kickstand up made me regret not installing a frame slider
Now I just bought a new magneto cover because it got scratched and I hate scratches plus the left fairing had few little scratches cleaned them with soap right away now it doesn’t look like it’s scratched unless you focus very much
