- Wasn't too long ago my good Mule Big Agnes died. Lots of questions asking what happened so I thought I would make this video explaining ... I am looking for another mule now so I can keep exploring and sharing my adventures .. Thanks!!!!

Brett I was just going through craigslist and saw a mule for sale 2 years old 500.00! Only kicker in east Alabama the mule is a jenny.

Always remember Agnes❤️ was there when you first rode her out for my hunt a long time ago. And saw her on your way out from her last trip. Packing in a camp for my hunt so many years later… We’ll talk about her forever.
A few weeks ago I left you a message telling you about being disabled and how your videos were like therapy after my stroke. You sent me a message to get in touch with you and I never could find your email address. I’m not the smartest mule in the barn. I don’t want you to give me anything more than you give me each time I see a video from you. You still inspire me to get things done. I will miss Big Agness, as I’m sure a lot of folks will. I’ll be praying for you and your search. The best horses and dogs I ever had were given to me. Hope you find your next mule the same way.

I’ve lost a few too. Something my dad told me probably 50 years ago that I’ve never forgotten. He said “if you don’t have any you can’t loose them”. So ever since then when we loose one that gives me comfort knowing that is just part of having them. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry about Big Agnes. I’ve lost a couple of horses to colic myself. Good Mules are expensive here in Kentucky also. Good luck finding one that fits your needs. Thanks for letting us know what happened to her.

Brett, I'm sorry to hear about Big Agnes. She was a good worker and companion. I even named my little black heifer after her, loved the name. The tenacious little thing she was. :) A man is lucky to have had a good horse/mule, a good wife, a good friend, a good rifle, and a good dog in his life. Those who haven't, have not lived a full life. God speed, amigo. I'll keep my ear to the ground for you.

Brett I’ve always thought the best dogs came from friends, that either didn’t charge or gave me the buddy discount. Let it simmer for a bit, with all the horse people and houndsman you know…I bet a good deal pops up from someone you know.

A good mule or hound is a real blessing. Big Agnes wll be missed, but I still see her carrying you across thar southwest desert with a pack of hounds... She lived a good life.

I am sad to hear that Agnes passed away. I just looked up lifespans of mules and they can live to 50 plus years; 10 to 20 years more than horses.

Brett, I’m so sorry to hear about Big Agnes, she was surely a great mule and will sorely be missed! My wife’s gelding died from Colic and it’s a hard thing to watch, especially when our Vet gave him 2 seditive shots and did all he could do! Big Agnes isn’t hurting anymore and is resting in peace now. Y’all have great memories together.

Like you horses were my gig, not much with mules. Lot's of outfitters use mules here in our big country. I ride what you've got on the trailer now! Lol. I'm 70 years young now, and the dirt is getting farther away from the saddle every year. Take care.

Thanks Brett for the update after Anges passing I'm hearing ya regarding old age and being carefull when doing what we love in the bush says me who's just brought and off road ebike for hunting at the age of 74 it's going to take the pressure off walking 20kl a day hunting as long as it don't throw me😊really looking forward to your future rides surely there's a breeder out there who would love the exposure of his stock on your videos.Ok old mate take it easy easy...From an old Aussie

Really enjoy your videos! I'm an old rancher, logger, hound hunter and trapper. I always bargained shopped horses. That worked pretty well until I got old enough that I had NO bounce in me , if I hit very hard I'd break. I finally got to thinking that I'd pay 25,000 for a side by side that last 6 to 8 years and wouldn't spend the same for a good, safe, dependable riding horse or MULE. that would last twice that time frame. Just food for thought. Sorry about your mule. Be safe and keep up the great entertainment. THANKS :)

I got to say. My wife and I have driven 75 miles out of the mountains in the middle of the night to take one of our horses to the vet which was colicing. Prior to that we had given a banamine shot and walked him around for about an hour. Wasn’t working but got him stable enough to travel. Off to the vet we went. We were up all night. He lived. Why didn’t you load her up and drive the 20 miles to the vet. 🤔

You were lucky, that doesn’t happen often. If they have already rolled and twisted a gut there isn’t much vets can do. Brett has been through horses colicking before, wasn’t the first time and I guarantee he always does everything possible.
I feel your pain, most of us can't afford beef, or hay. Let alone a 20,000 saddle critter
