@@marcoshenriques4095 Yeah same here. That grid he created is like gold. Thanks!
Is this still available David? ❤xx
wow, just what I needed after working with a PT for 3 months who did not really teach me much other than told me some exercises and I need a routine now as I am kinda doing whatever at the gym, following youtube people. I refuse to run or do impact exercise as I do not want to damage my joints so anything without that is amazing:). Am doing stuff on my own now in gym but have lower back pain... I guess I need to stretch more.

This is really helpful. I went to the gym for the first time in a really long time yesterday and I feel so dumb just standing there and looking around having no idea what to do LOL. Thanks a ton, David!
Same lol
Lol yesterday was my first day and I just used barbells and dumbbells.. growth is a process though 💪🏽
Yeah I’ve also been using the machine and dumbbells, haven’t used barbells though but I’m getting there
Me too
Start small
U make me feel like I can do it too! Thx for being so genuine and cool with your explanations.
Awesome, you can do it! Thanks for watching it
Did u do it tho
Because you can!
@Samir Kerimli It also happened with me on the first few times, took 4 days or so for my arms to start getting normal again. Don't let that keep you down.
@Samir Kerimli Damn, I see the nightmare you mentioned, you should motivate yourself, now. Hope you're able to get it through, and be careful as well to know your limits and not to hurt yourself.
why does this man look like superman

I was thinking the same thing, i was like "have I seen this guy before?"
Your man from MI fallout
Yeah i was like thingking did henry cavill really starting to become a youtuber
@@bewoklearning9039 🤣 wish I was Henry Cavill
just started going to the gym and i looked like an idiot, thank you for the advice man now i have hope (gym training for dummies) =D
Lol no problem, glad it was helpful!
We're all looking like a bunch of morons, so don't worry. When I tried using the elliptical, my feet would move backwards, and if I would try to use my hands too, I would simply stop in place. Then I moved to the treadmill, and, as I was adjusting the speed, I forgot my finger on the button that increases it, and I almost ended up on one of those CZcams fail videos. The rest of the time, I would just walk around, looking like I know what I was doing. After using the machines backwards and making a fool of myself, I did break a sweat, and it only got better in the next sessions.
The best thing, that I think that people don't realize... No one cares! No one will watch you, no one will laugh at you, and that's to a point where you're gonna feel bad because they don't do it, you'll be like "c'mon guys, at least laugh at me because I'm a dumbass..."
Out of curiosity, do you still go to the gym?
Me too lol
if it helps, I rejoined this week after a long while and tried adjusting the seat on a machine and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't move - I called for assistance to then be led to 'my' equipment further down the gym where the seat was easily adjustable - I hope they hadn't watching me on the cctv - doh!
oh thanks so much - recently joined a gym and been eyeing up the stepper machine but not sure how to get started - from your video I now know exactly what to do - perfect! :)
Thanks a lot for this. I just started going to the gym after many years of not working out (post-injury) and your video is really helpful. I was kinda lost at the gym the other day. Now I know I can go back to this video like I have an imaginary gym-buddy. 😎
Thank you for your video... I lifted in high school and stopped for ten years. Now i am getting back to it. Your program is awesome. Thank u blessings Nancy
I’ve used your program for the last month or so - it really helped me be consistent at going to the gym👍👍 very helpful bro
This is the first time I've seen an online PT go through a comprehensive induction like this. Really helpful.
Great video for sure. Hows the journey been for you?
haven’t even finished 2 min of the video and subscribed. really like people like you who are out to help! as someone who has zero idea of what to do at the gym but does whatever anyway, this seems like a good solid starting point.
Thank you! I hope the video is helpful
Thank u so much for the video.. I am new to the gym stuff and always scared of using machines except treadmill but u made it look so easy.. Definitely gonna follow the routine u showed.. Keep making videos like this to help people like me.. Thanks a ton.
No problem! Don't be afraid to try new stuff in the gym. Every time I join a new gym I walk around trying everything and figuring out how it all works. I'm sure I look goofy to some people but you've gotta learn what your options are!
You’re really a good teacher. Thanks 🙏.
This is a great video. I'm 16 and starting a membership so this is helpful in teaching me how to use everything. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Do u still going?

K Avery same I went last week for the first time and I felt so so dumb
Haha glad it was helpful! Don't worry about looking dumb, everyone goes through a learning curve when they start working out. Don't be afraid to find someone in the gym that's in good shape and ask for help or advice.
This is the best no-nonsense video for dummie beginners like me. Really appreciate that these are mostly the essentials without complex exercises.
I agree. Good video for sure. If you're looking for more beginner-friendly workouts that target different goals, I have a playlist on my channel specifically designed for people new to the gym.
thanks, David! I have been training at home, but just start to train in the gym. Your video is really helpful!
Awesome, thanks for watching it!
I like this video because it gives first time gym workout startups essentials 101s that are quite necessary for a proper workout from the outset. This helps them prevent unnecessary fear and dangerous accidents. Great work David!
That's what I was going for so I'm glad it's helpful!
You nailed for me, sir.

great video. thank you. I just started working out at LA Fitness, and I will follow this program.
As a newbie to the Gym who is intimidated and doesnt know how to use the Gym equipmemts. This video was very helpful to me. You explained everything well and perfect. One can see that you put so much effort in the video editing as well. Your CZcams Channel should have more than a million subscribers. Your CZcams content are excellent. Greetings from Germany.
The gym can feel like a whole new world when you're first starting out.
I know I was intimidated by all the equipment too, not knowing what to use or how to use it properly.
If you're looking for more beginner-friendly content, there are some great channels out there creating exercise tutorials specifically for people new to the gym.
What are your fitness goals?
This is a huge help for me to understand the basic way how to use the gym equipment. Godbless you.
Thank you so much for this video! You're not only handsome and super-fit, you're also a very generous and kind person. 🙏
This is the video i've been looking for thanks!

Thank you so much. It was very informative with hidden tricks.
I've been kind of plattowing out, I am definitely going to use some of your information thanks for sharing 🤙
nice video, very helpful, I came across you while I was working for starting tips for a beginner, I used to work out a while back but I've gained very extra much weight (basically I'm kinda fat :( ) so I'm definitely going to start working out from next week and going to use your tips. Thanks!
Man you a saint man, this was well needed thanks for this nice thorough indepth video!

Thanks man, im 15 years old and just started hitting the gym, this really helped a lot
This is super helpful. I recently joined my local gym which has the same "precor" brand's euipments that ure using in the video. And also i was searching for full body workout routine. This is perfect. Hopefully ill be making those gains in few months hehe
Thanks so much this helped me a lot ! 🙂
Very helpful! Thanks for sharing. 💪👍
Great stuff, some good tips here, still havn't figured out a good program for my training, started with the gym yesterday, tried just about every machine and spent about 3 hours there. A tip to those who feel uncomfortable around other people, try saying hello, talking, asking for tips, making gym friends is great, makes workouts more fun too. Everyone is uncomfortable the first few days or being anxious of looking dumb, other people are just in the same position as you and probably feel just as uncomfortable.
Thanks for the info! I've been going through the same routine for a few weeks now, not really knowing how to add more diversity and this really helps alot!
Did u get gd results fr following the program?
Absolutely! Sticking to the same routine for too long can lead to plateaus, so it's great that you're looking to add some variety.
This video offers some different exercise options, but there's a whole world of possibilities to keep things interesting!
On my channel, I have a library of workouts designed for different goals and fitness levels. You might find something that challenges you in a new way and keeps your workouts exciting.
You're amazing for this. Thank you so much.
No problem, thanks for watching!
This is very helpful for me as a beginner in gym. Thank you!
Awesome!
Thank you for creating this video ... super helpful!!!
No problem, glad it was!
This was a great vid! I'm a runner and know the gym for x training but now have an injury that will take quite a bit of time to recover from. I decided to become a sort of gym freak and workout every day. This video really helped me figure out a program and to understand the correct form and way to do them. Been looking over a lot of these vids and yours is the best 👌 Thank You!
Running injuries can be frustrating, but it sounds like you're making the most of your recovery time.
Daily workouts are great for some, but rest and recovery are crucial for muscle growth and preventing burnout. Have you considered incorporating some active recovery days into your routine?
Thank you Duncan! Really helpful 👏🏼
On my channel, I create similar exercise routines specifically designed for beginners. If you're interested check it out.

Very welcome, I appreciate you supporting the channel! It's a lot of work to make good content so any positive feedback is always encouraging
Really helpful. Good video, honestly.
I previously had a question but I managed to figure out everything myself, this was very helpful, and it indeed gave me a *starting point* from where I could advance in ways to build up muscle and investigate what food I should eat! Thank you so much.

How do I know what weight to use
Starting out at the gym can be overwhelming, but consistency is key to seeing results. This video is a great starting point, but there's a whole world of beginner-friendly workouts you can explore!
On my channel, I have a playlist dedicated to exactly that: different workout routines specifically designed for beginners to help them lose weight and build strength.
Amazing tutorial
Love from india bro ❤️❤️
Your explanation is awesome 👑👑

Finally, someone with basic yet useful information and demonstrations! great job David Duncan. However, I think a 3-day full-body split with 2-days for cardio is more effective to build muscle and burn fat!
You're absolutely right, a 3-day split with dedicated cardio days can be very effective for building muscle and burning fat, especially for some fitness goals.
This video was designed as a general introduction to strength training for complete beginners. A full-body split might be a great next step for viewers who want to take their workouts to the next level.
Actually, on my channel, I have a series dedicated to different workout splits, including a beginner-friendly 3-day split routine!
What gym you go to, and I've been looking for a video exactly like this for weeks thank you my guy
Simply amazing.
I’m a 26 year old who weighs 25lbs and I’ve been wanting to tone up for a good while now but I’m usually pretty embarrassed to work out around people who clearly know what they’re doing. Especially when I feel like I’m not using the equipment properly and people are standing around waiting for me to stop making a fool of myself. So this video was pretty helpful and I love that you included the starter routine. That definitely motivated me into going into the gym again so thanks! I’ll definitely be checking out some of the other vids. Also I must ad that your calm voice helps understand the video better. Usually the workout guides are a little too pumped for my taste and it can be a little distracting.
Haha glad it's helpful! Don't worry about what other people think of you in the gym. 99% of the time people really aren't paying any attention to other people. And everyone makes plenty of mistakes when they start working out anyway so don't sweat it.
You said 25 pounds ...
@@IamINERT i thought i was only one who saw that 😐
Deyooo 125lb**
i just started as well and i picked a smaller gym that still has all the equipment and everyone keeps to themselves but they'll help you if you dont know what youre do
This video literally helped me how to start my body goal! Thank you sir!
Whats your body goal?
Thank you very much. I'd suggest this to every beginner. Concise and precise 👌🏾⚡👏
I'm glad you found it valuable.
Helping beginners feel confident in the gym is what I'm all about. There's so much conflicting information out there, so clear and concise instructions are key.
By the way, if you're interested in more beginner-friendly content, I have a whole playlist on my channel dedicated to getting started with strength training. It breaks down basic exercises, proper form, and even warm-up/cool-down routines.
Thanks a lot sir 🙏
Thank you sooo much David I've just found you!! Exactly what I'm looking for. Had an induction today and I was quite confused re the equipment. My trainer had a limited time to give me but I have the programme and it's set out pretty much like yours. I have subscribed so I'm hoping for more content. I'm especially interested in improving my bone density and general strength. I suffer from a bulging disc in my back which causes sciatica. I'm gonna be busy binge watching all your videos. I have lost 4 stone in the last year so I want to keep it off!! Thanks so much! ❤xx
It can be a lot to take in at first, especially with the equipment.
I completely understand the frustration of limited trainer time. Thankfully, there are tons of resources online to help beginners get started with proper form.
Here's a tip: Many gyms have trainers who are happy to answer quick questions about specific machines. Don't hesitate to ask for a pointer if you're unsure about something!
By the way, on my channel, I have a whole series of short video tutorials specifically on proper form for different gym machines. They might be a helpful resource as you get comfortable using the equipment
Well Done, Great Video, very instructional, easy, and well planned. Many Thanks.

Andrew Arvelo (HW) THINGS I LEARNED:
1- The first thing that I learned is that the incline treadmill is equally if not more so effective than jogging on it. This shocked me but is honestly completely understandable, when walking and taking your time, you are always making sure you lift your foot up, and you are more controlled, and more parts of your body are being used.
2- The second thing I did not know is when doing tricep ropes, you can have multiple different positions to choose from, I always thought the frontward way he shows, in the beginning, was the only way.
3- The last thing that I learned is that it is important to do specific parts of your body throughout different days of the week, there should always be leg day, chest day, and back day. Overall it is the best way to make sure you get the best of each workout for whatever it is you may be working on.
Totally its help a lot man keep it up
