Dude, the guy talking on the background was thinking you were going to the airport that's why the were asking 1000 baht, this wasn't a scam just misunderstanding from both sides
Ya you can hear the first guy say Udon Thani twice, a place 1 hours drive away, asking for 500 baht or roughly $15 USD. I get in the moment feeling like people trying to overcharge you when arriving in a new place but should have double checked before posting and titling this video 'scammers'. One guy even offered to drive you for 280 baht or $8 for a 64km journey in private car lol
Im crossing that same bridge soon. I’m in the same situation everyone tried to charge me freakin crazy amount 1000% more than normal. We had to bargain everywhere we go.

Thanks for the video. However you should re watch this yourself tomlearn a lesson. No one was trying to scam you. They were sll saying udon Thani. 1000 is s reasinable offer to start. You just didnt listen. You keep daying city without dsying which one. Udon thani is a city, nong khai maybe big town. Im glad l estched though.
The ground is not even paved and it looks so dirty and so gross. I would not want to walk around there.
