Preview to Our Tapestry Oral Histories’ Project

Over the last several months Black Voice News has brought you a series of articles through our Tapestry series exploring the cultural, ethnic and racial threads of our evolving community in response to an exponential increase (from 2.9% in 2010 to 10.2% in 2020) in the number of individuals who identify as bi- or multi-racial on the U.S. Census.
One of the objectives of this series was to provide a vehicle for bi- and multi-racial individuals to share--through oral histories-their stories and experiences of navigating life in a society too often racially polarized due to this nation’s history of white supremacy and racial prejudice. This video is a preview to those oral histories interviews.
