- Balazs made an order a while ago for a 45x45x30 cm aquarium glass. It's been sitting in our warehouse for weeks. Finally, B got enough inspiration to start working in this custom-made tank. He chose to build an Indonesian aquascape, which is considered one of the most challenging styles to execute. High risk - high reward, as they say. How do you like the hardscape? I have watched the Indonesian hardscaping scene for a while now. They do some of the most amazing work. Not surprised that they won this year's IAPLC this year. It was only a matter of time.

One thing that came to my mind when watching this video is...us indonesian have a close relationship with nature (though this isn't the case in big towns), which may significantly resonate with the aquascape style.

When you said you were building it outside of the tank and showed how you were going to do it, I said "What?!!" When you were about half way finished, and then when you put it in the tank, I smacked myself on the forehead and said "Duh!, of course!"
I can see how this would have been a great way to do a lot of your previous tanks where hands were getting squished from the tight squeeze. But, I guess that actually mostly happened with the planting stage not the hard scape stage. Anyway, that's a brilliant idea to start it outside of the aquarium.
I'm looking forward to part 2!!
Yeah, I watched Tommy struggle in one of the previous vids, that's why I thought this would be handier to do. Also, ease of maintenance is very important...
It looks fantastic so far! Can't wait to see the result. I've never built an aquascape outside a tank and can imagine it would be very difficult and needing a lot of patience. Great work, love it!!

Can you make a video on making your first iaplc contest tank? I’ve been planning one but haven’t found many good videos with decent tips other than some of yours. Thank you in advance!
Edit: just looking at your website and you only offer CO2 sets up to 240 liter. What happens if I am building a 350 liter tank?

On the CO2 the larger the aquarium is the more CO2 needed, so a larger CO2 Cylinder is recommended. For 350L a 5K at least. And i would use a CO2 Reactor. That thing can support the tank up to 600-700L or so.

If in Indonesia it will cycling the hardscape 1-2 week for clear water color from wood...
