    I budgeted for the M3 Cine and to be honest I’m disappointed that the M3 isn’t leaps and bounds above my M2P, Air2s, or E2P. This video does a great job showing that it’s a marginal improvement and the image comparison to the naked eye isn’t a noticeable difference. In this portable, foldable platform my opinion is that DJI has maxed out for the average user at the Air2s
it’s more than enough for the average user. My humble opinion

      Hi Axis! Thanks for watching! 😊
      You're right!
      With the Air2s they really made an incredible drone.
      The only point with the M3 is being a really "professional" in need of a better low light performance, better ISO and ProRes capabilities. But of course, you will pay A LOT for just that.

    • @BlairAir
      @BlairAir Pƙed 2 lety +2

      Drone technology has matured to the point that incremental improvements will be the norm unless a major form factor change arrives. It's been this way for smartphones for half a decade, yet DJI pushed drones here much faster. Flagship phones start at $1200 USD, yet people snap them up every few years, even though changes are evolutionary. I expected as much from M3, and since I got into drones only this year, it's a V2 Evo 2 Pro/V2 Autel Smart Controller and M3 Fly More & RC Pro that I have. Do I need both? Certainly not. But I'm a tech junkie, and this is what I love. Some guys drive expensive motorcycles or Porches. I drive an old Jaguar and fly good drones. Life choices!

      Hi TAG, first of all thanks for watching.
      I'm so glad that you asked us for that important decision.
      You can watch our Autel Evo 2 review here (czcams.com/video/His0hzb0wY0/video.html)
      But, to be honest, we don't liked it. We felt the drone very "plastic", the controller feels clumsy and the app was not even well translated... The drone is OK, the specs are nice, but the color we've got from it were flat and boring for us. Also, in that video we lost the connection twice.
      M3 in comparison is from the future, 4/3 Sensor, best obstacle avoidance to date, incredible range and transmission... EVO2 of course is a great drone, you'll do almost the same, you will have top footage. But if you can buy the M3... there's just no comparison.
      Many people on the internet hate DJI cause it's a chinese company but Autel is 50% chinese too so...
      I will love to see that footage from africa TAG!

    2 BIGGEST DIFFERENCES you havent compared: 1. Mavic 1 and Mavic 2 have a controller with integrated display. So even when the connection is lost (the camera feet) you still see everything!(speed, height, distance, battery life). Even the Cine-version 'pro' controller with display DOESN'T have this!!! The Mavic 3 also uses the 'FLY' app which is for enthusiast and far away from the level of the DJI GO 4 app. (for info: GO 4 app was an outsourced software from another company. DJIs 'FLY' app is a newly in-house developed app). But the 'fly' app is more enthusiast focused and NOT a pro app like on the Inspire 2 or even then DJIGO 4 app which has many more professional options.
    Great thoughts though Alex.

      Totally agree with your points.
      In my opinion, I've never used the display of the M1 and 2, I mean, if you lost your connection the last think you need to know is you speed hahahaha You need your position and for that you need the app.
      Also, the fly app is "easier" which I prefer, and if you want a more capable controller you can buy the new Smart Controller, but of course with $$$$$
      But your points were really good :)

    hi Alex I own a Mavic 2 Pro Mavic 2 Zoom Mini 2 Air 2 S and a Phantom 4. Makes me more of a collector but I do use all 3 except for the Phantom with a Smart Controller which makes flying easier. But with the price of the cine with the RC pro I realize that I am no collector. i am an amateur photographer and aerial photogrpahy is a great leap. I just can’t imagine using the Mavic 3 with the controller which resembles that of my Mavic Mini. Looking at the footages with the Mavic Pron2 and Mavic 3 I don’really think that a client will be able to tell the difference between the two. Charge more if you use the Mavic 3? It’s still the Indian not the arrow.

    Mavic 3 just isn’t that much better to warrant the upgrade. Especially with all the missing features and basic stuff like sharpness /contrast/saturation controls. Let alone you can’t adjust the stick sensitivity like in go4. I’ll wait until they sort all that out and it’s classified by the EU. It’s also sad to see they’re are no accessories coming to Europe for it as it puts it over 899grams MTOM. So that wide angle Len’s or 4g or even prop guards won’t be officially available.

    The Mavic 3 gives better video quality, especially in low lighting, Alex; from what I have seen. For the price that I pay for the Mavic 3 + Combo, the standard controller does not have a zoom wheel like the Mavic 2 zoom & no 5 D button to easily calibrate to control exposure while videoing. When videoing, I can be simultaneously using the Tilt Down wheel + Left stick to Yaw + Zoom.
    The standard controller supplied with the Mavic 3 has just, ad hoc, been reapplied from the Mavic Air & Mini; I thought DJI could have done much better design wise job here, especially for the price. Without an integrated optic zoom into the main camera the digital zoom of the top camera is some what of a white elephant in the room. For now I will stay with the Mavic Zoom.

    • @WeTalkUAV
      @WeTalkUAV  Pƙed 2 lety

      Hi Dean, thanks for watching.
      You're right, we miss the exposure compensation wheel too :S
      And yes, the digital zoom is more for "exploring" and less for "recording". That's how DJI is selling it but... Mavic 2 Zoom is great, i've used it a lot and I Chivos prefers this one intead of the m2pro.

    One big reason for me to switch to M3 (I own M2P for 3 years already) is that DJI already cut support for M2P and it is not possible to buy batteries, chargers... there is only sacond hand stuff on the internet and will be very cheap soon, on the other hand as many people will try to sell M2P... maybe it is the right time to switch to M2P second hand from old Mavic AIR, Mini, etc. :-) I can see already ads for M2P combo (M2P with 3 batteries) for 650,- EUR in my country :-) and for that price, the quality of video is ....WOW! :-) ... do not rush for M3 as I do :-) :-)
