â@@zuki9537no they don't. these are 1/8 4wd nitro. they max out at 45. they accelerate fast but have average speed. you can buy an arrma Typhon 1/10 for $300 that goes 60mph.
This is Extremely INTENSE the way they grab the car and then they put some fluid in it and then they put it down, bonkers that they are allowing humans to do this
Actually it's a gravity fed speed gun, like the big cans you see in full size racing. There are vent lines in the gun so the fuel comes out lightning fast then stops automatically once the tank is full. The pit man/lady does more than just fuel the vehicle during the race. They warm it up while you are in line to go up the driver stand, check temps and tune to specific race conditions, and help manage your fuel stops, keeping track of where your competition is and advising on early or late stops. It gets very competitive as you move up the ranks as cars can finish within fractions of a second at big events. Not long after the guns came into the equation, you started seeing the radio systems to make communication an even more important factor. No more screaming at the top of your lungs when you want to come in early, or change up the mixture a few hours one way or the other.
Yep. I don't think I ever fueled a car with a gun. Right about the time they were coming out, I was discovering my absolute hatred of nitro fumes in the pits. My body reacts to it like pepper spray. I start gagging and leaking out of my eyes and nose. LOL!! Can you pit for you? NOOOOOOO!

refuelling more than likely. Flow rate is terrible for pits with little reservoirs and openings so id assume that bottle forces fuel in to speed up the process. F1 and such have huge fuel inlets and large amounts of fuel leveraging at the very least gravity and its wheight to fuel up faster.
@justinworkman, F1 also stopped doing refueling a few years ago, on safety grounds. So it's just tire changes. Plus it's a pit crew of 16, IIRC, 3 for each tire. One to operate the front jack, one the rear jack. And one to watch, and safely release the car.
