Team USA had some unnecessarily close games before the Olympics, but KD was injured and did not participate in those games.
I remember in Tokyo Olympics team USA had young stars like Tatum and Booker, but they really struggled and KD carried that team to gold. NBA and FIBA basketball are different. Court is different, rules are different. Young NBA stars have not figured out the FIBA game. KD is the master of FIBA game, the most successful player in team USA history. He has played 3 Olympics and one world cup before, won gold in all 4 and lead the team in scoring in all 4. He came off the benck today and somehow he is still the leading scorer of his team.
It has always been my opinion that if you are only elite at one thing you are a role player. That makes KD and Curry role players for scoring.
