Gordo and Mark definitely my favourite couple.
I wish they had more page-time in the 3d and 4th books
I can’t believe I’m reading this at the same time as you! (I think the same thing happened with a marvelous light) I just started Heartsong so I’m too scared to watch this yet in case of spoilers 🙈 but I’ll be back when I’m done with series!

For me the tetralogy went down, like my absolutely fav is the 1st, loved the 2nd, disappointed the 3rd and a struggle the 4th.
To me the romance in the 3rd one was lost because Kelly is already in love with Robie, and Robie is inmediately atracted to him and then just remembers lol.
And Carter's omg, so much repetition!! That's where Klune fails , he repets the same sentences over and over, omg with the Ox' daddy!!
But you make me want to read it again! (Not Carter's though 😂).
I think with Kelly and Robbie's case I don't find it weird to read about character still being attracted to their partner even if the memories are gone. Insta lust is not an issue for me, insta love is.

I was planning to skip this video until I read the series myself. But I'm so behind on other books that I have to continue the series next year. So I got to satisfy my curiousity with your spoilers, it's enough to know more but not deep enough to keep me from reading :)
Can't wait for Gordo x Mark, so I appreciate your criticism so that I don't get too disappointed. Don't have much thoughts on the other pairings but I'm looking forward to reading them eventually! 🐢✨️
Tehehee I'm glad you watched it! Gordo x Mark were good but honestly in my head (when he was just building them up) it was much much better. Like I for sure love them and they are my favorite but the book was way way too plotty.
I started the series in 2018 when it was very popular on tumblr. I adored the first book and I thought that I was going to love even more the second one because Gordo and the angst but it let me down. Moreover as for you I wasn't convinced with the pairing of the third book and I despise the amnesia trope/flashbacks and flashforwards so I decided to don't go on with reading the last two books.
Nonetheless I read and really enjoyed other TJ Klune books
The second book is objectively not the best one (it drags) but I think it works well as a set up book for the rest of the series (introduces more lore and worldbuilding). I still love Gordo x Mark though. You should really give the third book a chance😂
