At 13:54 - stephen should actually get 3 energy there (even stronger synnergy with the flying!) since it says that many energy = combat damage

So you know, you actually don't have to exile 4 cards with nethergoyf. It just has to be any number of cards with 4 different types. So, a burnished heart would count as 2, and an urza's saga would be 2, and that's all you would have to exile to escape it.
Aren't the Tarmogoyf tokens 2 cmc? Thats what it says at the bottom of the token. So you cant -0 ugin to get rid of them.

@ 1:20:00 the Tarmogoyf tokens do have a mana value. its 2 just like the card.

He was using OG goyfs for funsies but the tokens that came with the deck don't have a mana value
@@GravePacked they do, it's printed on the bottom of the card that they have a mana cost of 1G

@@garrettfarnam4567 uh, no. If you’ve played the deck you’d know that if they were permanent things would get of hand very quickly
@@nutellakinesisno I’ve played the deck, it’s a counter play but once your commander leaves your whole synergy falls apart and you get outclassed by every other strategy. The counters don’t leave the field which now causes your board to essentially become day night, a mechanic you now have to track the rest of the game that doesn’t have any impact unless you replay your commander, the counters should either leave field with the commander or not be called everything counters. Counters are supposed to be permanent additional effect given to a card on the battlefield.
@@garrettfarnam4567 this is such a weird hill to die on. What would you rather have them called? That’s just what they are. They are designed that way so you don’t lose your progress when you recast your commander.

Aurora Shifter actually gives you energy based off the amount of damage. So when it gets bugged Mr. Green should have gained 3 energy

the tarmo tokens have a mv of 2. that's why Jon used real Tarmogoyf cards as tokens, I thought :D
Powerbalance does not let you just look at the top card on the trigger without revealing; you either reveal it or you don't. Also, the Wheel of Potential exiled off the Unstable Amulet was castable for the rest of the game since no other cards were exiled with the Amulet afterwards (the amulet doesn't have to be in play).
When Corey did 0 with ugin to get rid of the tokens, the only ones that would have been gotten rid of were the saprolings, since the tarmogofy tokens have a cmc of 2
On the turn Stephen attacked with the sphinx token at Corey, he should have actually gained 10 energy and had 2 triggers to shoot for 5 somewhere. Each sphinx saw him gain 4 life which triggers to gain 4 energy twice. Both are replaced by the generator to gain +1, gaining him 5 then 5.

around 23:10 Urza's Mine is tapped for 2 but should only tap for 1 until the commander is back on the field and turns the everything counters back on.

localized destruction gives creatures you control with power equal to the energy you paid indestructible. satya is 3 power not 4. only thing that would of survived is the sphinx. dont know if it would of made a difference or not.

Technically, Steven shouldn't have kept the Sphinx the second time because it's 5 CMC not 4.
With power balance, you don’t get to look, you either reveal or don’t, Stephen started off playing it correctly

Showing the Sphinx's Revelation instead of the Sphinx of Revelation had me really confused as to what the combo actually was haha
Did I miss something!? Localized destruction was for 4, meaning Satya would have died therefor negating that last lot of damage as he wouldn't have got an attack with Satya, wouldn't have got a clone of the sphinx and there for should of only done a fraction of the damage. I must have missed something no?

Yes it does.
Satya specifically creates tokens of *other* nontoken creatures. (Also, they're still legendary. So they'd die anyway.) Granted, this whole game had a myriad of missed triggers, but this one really impacted the ending.
did he make a copy of satya or another legend? as far as i can tell the 2 biggest missed things is that the tarmogoyf tokens DO have a cmc of 2(so ugin couldn't -0 to get rid of them), and when stephen gained life with the sphinxes in play he should've gained 10 energy instead of 5

It does not. The "Everything" counter remains on the land, but Omo is providing the characteristics for the counter to work. So with Omo gone, the counter does nothing to the card

nethergoyf can at escape cost can be as low as 2 cards. cards needs to have 4 card typ. escape actually isnt looking at how many cards to exile,
Fun fact, wheel of potential is actually worded incorrectly and is awaiting an update. Feel free to look into this as well. The card states you get x energy however, does not say then you may pay x energy and draw x cards it just says draw x cards. So as of right now until the update, x can be any number the player wants for the draw x cards portion of this sorcery.

AAAAAAAAA It's infuriating that you still play like dinguses after doing this for a living for so many years. When Corey went "it has to be 4 cards" for the Nethergoyf I wanted to rip my eyes out. I know John is usually the cheatyface, but he for once wanted to play it correctly. He ballanced it out when he stated the goyf tokens have no mana cost though. Then the everything counter issue. There are 5 people in that room and I guess some more get to see the footage while editing - be better, at least acknowledge that you are misplaying and try to catch those misplays and make a conscious effort to play properly.
