대한민국을 대표하는 밴드 넬이 ‘청춘연가’를 발표했다.
넬의 ‘청춘연가’는 많은 것이 낯설고 어렵지만 무모할 정도로 용감하게, 그리고 솔직하게 그 감정에 충실했던 시간들을 노래하며 현재의 나를 돌아본다. 넬은 그 시간을 위로하거나 혹은 찬양하는 것이 아니라 잔잔한 어쿠스틱 기타 선율 위에 청춘이라는 순간에 대해서 담담히 내뱉는다.
계절의 끝 겨울. 쓸쓸하면서도 아름다운 노래 ‘청춘연가’를 통해 넬은 우리에게 다신 돌아오지 않을 2014년 겨울의 마지막을 장식한다.
Korea’s top band Nell is releasing a new single ‘Green Nocturne’.
The song reflects on oneself by singing out the past when we were brave, sincere while unsure and insecure. Nell, however, does not praise or consulate those past, but just whisper serenity with the calming sounds of acoustic guitar.
This winter, a beautiful melody of ‘Green Nocturne’ is dedicated to the winter of 2014, which will never come back.

that hits hard 😢 i miss nell so much!!!
My friend introduced me to Nell this year. He told me they're his favorite band of all time and that he really wanted me to give them a listen because he believes I have a good taste in music. Upon first listening to 12 Seconds, I was hooked on their psychedelic rock sound. But after listening through a few albums, I came across this single. This is in my opinion their best work to date; the lyrics are full of regrets, nostalgia, and vulnerable honesty while the melody simply takes me to a beautiful place. Kim Jong Wan manages to say so much in such few words, and I can tell that he got hurt in the past to pour his heart out into these lyrics. The way he sings reveals the most sincere passion for what he does and I really cannot get enough of his voice. Nell is quite possibly the most underrated Korean band of all time and deep within me is a hope that they don't get more popular than they already are so that they can continue writing songs from the heart. But to be honest, I don't think that they will lose focus of what makes their music special; I think they'll keep being the best Korean indie band by writing and producing music that they enjoy and that they feel they must share with the world. I cry because I've never been so emotionally touched by a song before; I don't even relate to it but I can feel the raw emotion that comes with Kim Jong Wan's voice. I am officially in love with Nell and hope I can go to one of their concerts with my friend one day and tell them how they have affected me on such a personal level. Their music is ages ahead of anything that is being produced today and I can't express how happy I feel when I listen to them. Long live Nell; I will support you guys until the end because you guys make real music. Thank you for a gift of a lifetime.

Nell is my fave band ever too, and i have this frusteration in explaning them to other ppl cuz i can't say enough no matter what i said, usually the song i use to hook them up is Words You Shouldn't Believe the live version cuz it's another world to me, so as all of their music
+Diana A I agree, their music is on another level compared to anything else produced these days. Nell manages to capture so many emotions in their lyrics, and on top of that, their instrumentation and vocals are top notch. They're a really perfect package.

The sound and melody are beautiful and I love the calming, peaceful tone, it's definitely perfect for chilly winter nights. I love the simplicity of the mv cause it lets the music take all the spotlight and it's beautiful.

Beautiful song. I am sensing a change in Nell. Older Nell songs are melancholy with a touch of morbid fatalism, the newer songs are melancholy with a ray of hope. Now in their thirties, Nell seems to have moved on from songs about isolation and loneliness to songs about self reflection and longing. Nell and Jongwan are aging well.
I listen to this song every day, it moves me so deeply... Have only recently discovered Nell - why/how have I missed all this amazing music?!! So glad their music is in my life now - anyone else listening in 2022?
