I could feel my eyes getting watery whilst watching the MV. I could see how broken James was despite the fame and money he gets from people. He was lost. He was devoured by darkness. He tried feigning he was alright as you all can see in the video. But all he got was a temporary happiness. It was shown in the video where he was looking for someone - a light who can maybe lift him from darkness. And you all can witness how he immediately flashed a bright and genuine beam the moment he saw Nadine in the party. In the end of the video, she was there for James when no one knew he was suffering. And the light James was looking had always been beside him; Nadine - the only light that made him see amidst the darkness. Nadine saved him. And he was glad about it.
He was in depression at the time he n Nadine started their relationship n Nadz helped him recover. James acknowledged this n really thankful to her

At first we see James, the party-goer, the "wild child", the "happy dude" but then what people don't know is that he's broken as can be just like the scene in the bathroom. (Btw now I know why he has a hand injury bless him, get well soon Hayme.) Amidst all the self-hate and the disappointment and the sadness, only one person saw what he was actually going through, that was Nadine. And she actually cared about him. He became frustrated, angered and hurt by her refusal to commit - that is why he would vent/act up/party right after each concert in 2014-15 when they had to act sweet and loving. It explains also why she stood by him the whole time - because she knew how much he loved her.

What i like about this music video is the story, it showed ur struggle, ur inner demons, how u r exhausted at work then u go partying with ur friends yet ur not completely happy, so much confusion & frustration. Then amid these chaos, Nadine is always there for u until u realized she's the one that will truly makes u happy & find inner peace, thus ur bright face on the rooftop at the end. Its so real. also just want to say there's nothing wrong in partying for as long as ur not doing a crime, obviously there's deeper personal problems running in his mind those times and having fun with friends is his way to be himself & to not totally lose his shit. Nadine accepted him for who he is, they accepted each other's imperfections & insecurities. Love found them in the silence of their own world.
