Awesome job, its taking "shape" I feel your pain on the gap but there is only so much perfection a man can achieve. You are doing fantastic.

Your gap I fixed mine by making a new brass piece. Thicker than one that came with the kit! Noticing gap was not an option I knew it was there! I used 1/8 thick copper piece traced outline on it and filled and fitted. Only change I did was radius ed so it was a shimig above wood but blended it looks good I think.

I did the same..still not happy with how it came out. I saved my cash and bought a Kibler kit, better value, high quality, CNC cut stock that is nearly perfectly inletted, only some minor tweaks to get it right.

Wow, big mismatch with the stock, I got lucky with mine, minimal work to blend. My nose cap was not even close however. Keep up the good work!

Can I leave the brass spacer out ? It looks out of place .

I initially wanted you to do that. But if the spacer is not used, you have to slide the fore stock back to fill the gap which will throw off the alignment for the nose cap screws.

A very expensive one. It belongs to my father in law. Not sure who makes it.
