Nice to see that Dave has managed to remain humble. It would be easy to say "yeah, we picked the winners", but as he explains, it's still largely a numbers game. They were just as excited about the companies they invested in just before, and just after Uber (who they don't remember and we've never heard of). Incredible career and some great insights.
Dave is the 🐐of seed stage investing. Founder Collective is an institution in the VC space. I would hope SAn universities will include a case study like his, in their MBA classes or in business studies textbooks in schools. Great interview, Bronwyn.
Good interview, Bronwyn. Frankel is a mensch. Btw, Bronwyn, Nielsen is a surname with Viking roots, from Northern Irish Vikings who returned to Denmark. The Gaelic Niall is thought to mean '“champion.”' Over time, the forms Niels and Nils (more common amongst Norwegians) developed. The patronymic surname Nielsen was formed when the suffix "sen," or "son," meaning “son of” was added to a personal name.
