  • Getting to collaborate with Tesla Orchestra is one of my favorite things! They are an amazing group of engineers who mentored me through building my own Tesla Coil (it's featured in a few videos... go find it!). Here's a live performance from Cleveland Maker Faire this year.
DISCLAIMER: This was all shot on iPhone, please forgive the on-the-fly nature of the video.
DISCLAIMER #2: The audio and wide shot are live in front of a live audience (proof is the mess up at 2:40!! haha), the cut in shots were a singular second take after the audience left so we could get closer with the cam-- sorry, iPhones.
How are these making music, you ask? Great question!!

Wouldn't "Phantom of the Paradise" have been a more appropriate selection . . ? Your motto could be "Replenishing the Ozone Layer, One Song At A Time" . . .

I really dig the concept, however may I suggest an arrangement that would be better suited to the devices audible "range". highs and mids sound awesome but lower frequencies don't seem to come through. great performance all the same. 👍

Tesla "speakers" are much better for higher frequencies than lower frequencies. Reason being that lower frequencies need more displacement (needs lots of power) while higher frequencies favor the emitter having as little weight as possible, which is what Tesla coils excel at - the emitter is a tiny mass of plasma!
