- Stumps are everywhere on Lake Sam Rayburn and Crappie love hanging on stumps! The water is in the 60's and crappie are moving to shallow water cover to spawn. We found crappie spawning on tree stumps around the creek channel edges and were eating our jigs like candy!

This is a good video, I live in the Metro Vancouver Canada area , we seem to have a few bucket brigades over the years putting Bass and Black crappies into our Salmon , Trout waters , The crappies seem to do well in the lakes and sloughs as well as the bass , Only a few people target them , I am thinking of trying this summer so learning what you use helps

havent watched it yet but cant freaking wait to go crappie fishing. put my kids in soccer this year and have had no time or good weather oppurtunities to fish yet. luckily its also still coldish water here in arizona and i think i can still catch them shallow . this weekend i gotta pull the kayak out.

26:32 when you are deep frying there is a barrier between the food and the oil. That is why you preheat the oil hot enough to instantly make steam when water touches it. If the oil is to cold it saterates the food. Yukk. Iafter browning if you double dip the oil will saterate if you flip it back over the oil will saturate. You want lay the fillet in the oil with out dunking it. Cook it until 55% done then flip it and cook the other 45%. Do not flip it early and once it does flip do not flip it back. The barrier it already burnt up it will just start soaking up oil. I know you love crappie. You fish em like a pro. I just want you to enjoy them like a pro too.

The spawn is late this yeah here up in Texas panhandle we're about a month behind where we were last year those late winter cold snaps made the crappie bite slow . I hope next week they will start moving up

Try this next time with the dry mix. Take and coat it once then dip in water on a separate plate then back into the dry mix you will not regret it.
