I was very surprised. I thought we could've gone a lot of different directions with the pick. ILB, OLB, CB. Watching these videos though made that doubt and shock disappear pretty quickly.
That's exactly what happened to me especially hearing what Josh Gruden had to say bout him during the draft.

Wassup 💣💣💣 SQUAD! Malik Hooker is one of the best safety prospects to come out in the last few years despite only starting one season at Ohio State. In early-Feburary, he underwent multiple surgeries and will be out 4-6 months. Where do you think the extremely talented safety gets drafted? I think he still goes top 10. I'm curious to know what you all think.

Loved watching him and the other players on OSU's secondary just as much as watching JT and the offense this past season. The OSU secondary was always good for at least one pick 6 every game, the D was the only thing keeping them in alot of the last few games they really stepped up.
I see a lot of Ed Reed/Earl Thomas on this kid. I´d love him at #2.

Please Malik play like this Hook this year. I still think he can be one of the best safety’s in the league if he just stays healthy and plays consistent. He was SO good before his injury. I can’t wait to watch him play 100% for the first time in awhile.

Hooker has some Ed Reed in him- Very instinctive safety: He's a ball hawk and if MH gets the ball in his hands, he is a threat to house one.
He doesn't have the volume Reed had while at UM, nor did he play special teams, but Hooker's potential is off the charts.
Wish he’d have some of these type of highlights as a Colt.

And he has familiarity with new head coach Nick Sirianni. And he fits Jonathan. Defensive system. It will be like the eagles having another first-round pick. Young Talent movement. Low-risk high-reward.

JustBombsProductions OT/G or D-line. I like Forrest Lamp, Dan Feeny, and Antonio Garcia (senior bowl riser) and for d line I like Caleb Brantley. Need to sure up that D-line because our secondary would already be one if the best with Hooker and our linebacking unit is solid and obviously its no secret our O-line is horrible.
