Her politely telling the dog sitter she didn't want to interact with her was mind blowing.
I never thought she would turn down scritches. Wow!
That's her mom not a sitter I think but may be wrong
Please, no, Thank you. Bunny is more polite than most people.
Buns: Love you Mom!
You: Love you Mom and Otter?
Buns: ...Love you Mom!
🤣
How's Shannon doing? The Please, No, Thank you would've killed me 😭
For real. Come get a hug, Shannon.
Thanks, guys.
I'm not that Shannon but I'm stealing a hug.
I would have wept if Bunny told me not to give her scritches. No matter how nicely. But yay for doggo body autonomy anyway!
Jesus Joseph and Mary she can even tell you her ear hurts & she needs meds!!! I’m blown away. What a blessing. 💗🐾🐕🦺
I’m always so surprised that she understands to tell you when she’s hurting.
That might be the most important part of this whole system of communication. A pet being able to tell you they're in pain and where is simply fantastic. And the whole thing about her tummy troubles and trying different foods and medicines, and she can give feedback!
@@Milamberinx exactly! Some pets now can indeed ‘tell us where it hurts’. She’s an amazing dog with an amazing owner being able to teach her. How on earth did she teach her sad and concerned
@@brassy49er37 I have come to the conclusion that she is one of the world's best teachers.
Bunny pressing love you on both boards proves she knows what she’s saying, and not just pressing random buttons like some people say.
some ppl just dont know what theyre talking ;)
@@THX-vp9fz True. Then again, when your dog very carefully says: Love you mom. Love you dad. Otter, hmmmm???!??? You do get a touch of older sis had it with younger bro's shenigans.
When Bunny said she was "big sad" that literally made my heart hurt. It's wonderful that she can vocalize if something is wrong or is hurting her. ❤
She almost blows my mind asking for medicine. Larkin, our mini poodle, is very careful about taking her pills each evening. Input them on a spot of butter on my finger and she very carefully takes them one at a time. If one drops, she looks and then carefully picks it up and swallows it.
Bunny is so aware that she tells you where she hurts and then tells you that she needs medicine. This is truly exciting to see.
which meds are the dog taking? anti-depressants? heard something about joe rogan that the dog is having an existential crisis.
@@ecmz96 That's not true. She takes medication for a stomach condition. I'm not even really sure where they came up with the existential crisis stuff...
Bunny asking for medicine is mindblowing. WOW!
SO wow.
I too am absolutely blown away...Bunny is proving what we animal lovers always knew- they are intelligent and caring ... better than a lot of humans.
Do you fr think this is real
Bunny is so polite...
1) Mom: Love you, Mom and Otte? Bunny: Love you, Mom.
2) Please, no, thank you.
The fact that you and Bunny communicate blows my mind.
"I'm sad because you're going to make me take the medicine again."
"Do medicine? Okay, come do medicine."
"GOD DAMN IT!"
Not sure if that's actually your interpretation or just for the lols. You have my lol either way.
I'm sure Bunny was trying to convey her internal badness, we do the same thing when we say our stomachs are upset.
I've been watching y'all for a long time and showing everyone these vids to prove just how smart animals are, and that humans never knew pets had these capabilities. It's truly amazing to know this and watch every vid you make. I love Buns and Otter..
Me too!!!
I agree ❤️
Me too!
Gives me MUCH more to consider before getting a pet again. It's a WAY bigger responsibility than any of us knew...
@@animeaunty Oh honey. The rewards are so much more than the responsibilities! Can’t imagine my life without my animals ❤️
It's fascinating to see the different things different animals communicate about. I watch Billie the cat and she talks about practical things like food, toys, pets, etc. with the occasional "love you" if she really wants something, and of course her favorite emotion - Mad. Bunny talks about a few practical things like outside and poop (lol), but she seems more interested in emotions like "love you", "concerned" and "sad", and she's getting better about telling people things she doesn't want done to her.
I'm not sure if it's because Bunny has used the buttons longer or if dogs have been around people longer, but the more the two of them talk, the more interesting it is. I will say that Billie has learned bribery through using the buttons - she gives "cuddles" and then asks for her mom to play "fan toy" with her! Cats are devious and dogs are sweet!
We have watched Otter use the communication board to lure Bunny and Mom away and then go and steal a resource. And we have never seen Bunny use the board to trick anyone, so I am thinking it is less species related and more personality based.
Can you imagine if Billi and Otter teamed up? They would take over the world!😹
Billie takes over in a very charming way. Otter does not seem to have the finesse that buns and billie have
Maybe he'll develop it over time though.
Need to watch Russel too, I watch bunny, billi and russel
Poor Shannon. I hope she eventually got some good Bunny lovn'
Bunny only loves mom and dad.
@@frida507 She also loves Beacher, Selena, and Tango.
Bunny lovin', had me a blaaaast
Bunny lovin', happened at laaast
I met a dog, crazy, can talk
Pet her head, asked me for walk
Do you ever get chills when Bunny communicates with such clarity? I do 🤯❤️❤️❤️
I love how mom is now replicating the use of pressing the same button multiple times for emphasis!! It’s so nice to see humans accepting influence like that, I think it’s definitely something owners of button’ed pets have adopted from their pets’ usage of the buttons and not necessarily something we would have used on our own to communicate with them.
So cool that Bunny can interact with larger concepts like medicine!! It’s like gaining an extra ability in a video game lol just another tool to the toolbox.
Also, I love where Bunny said “love you no” in reference to the bird and mom thought she meant mom, and she was like, “What? Why??” Bunny had this look on her face like, “……what? That’s not what I said.” To me Bunny looked so confused that mom would have ever taken it to be directed at her - they both probably agree that that would never happen ❤️
Also, the “Otter friend” bit!!!! So frickin cuuute
It said there was context in the caption, but I only see a pile of links. What was the small concern context?
This is exactly the comment I was looking for. I didnt find any context either.
@@FlailTV It's probably in their instagram where she uploads the single clips. Only later she puts them into compilations to publish here. Probably forgot about transferring the explanation too by then.
Shes a little doggie genius. ❤
A dog asking for medicine? Wow. Wish mine would.
And the fact she was asking for her fluoxetine bc she was big sad...😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
please no thank you 😂
Love that Bunny can communicate her ear needs medication
Please make picture larger. Words are too small if pic small.
YES!!! And louder vocals as well for the older people 😘
Fantastic communication
Bunny is so very smart!! Wish I had a button to tell her that I love her too!! 🥰💙
I love all dogs and cats but I love them more and more because of Bunny.
It looks like she is reading the buttons to decide what to say.
Who knows...
She might be, honestly! Not in the sense that she can literally read, but she may be mentally refreshing herself on what buttons she has available. Even if you didn’t speak another language like Chinese, you would eventually be able to memorize certain characters and what they mean, and looking at them would remind you what words you’re able to use to communicate. Dogs (and any animal, for that matter) don’t have to understand things in a human way to understand them in a way that’s functionally equivalent!
@@high-bi-password Yes, she may be recognizing the buttons by combination of their look - color coding and the text (maybe recognized as a symbol/picture, length of the word etc) - and it's placmement on the mat. And she's been adding them one by one. Like, if Bunny's learnt the "Outside"-button and then "Beach" is added next to it. Maybe the buttons smell a tiny bit different even, like the newer buttons smell different from old ones etc.
Lol yeah, thanks for the refresher but I do know how the buttons are organized and the symbols on them. I remembered the symbols after I wrote my comment but was too lazy to go back and mention it
Hold it... Did Bunny ask for medicine though??? 😱🤔
Shes so pretty. 1st time I saw her was after a groom...I thought she had a bow in her head lol he reminds me of a kid brother lol amazing communication with Bunny ❤❤❤
Bunny is so smart and awesome!
Do medicine is the dream of all dog owners on this planet
Poor little guy has gutten self aware, and is depressed, poor little one
She’s incredible
She's sooo pretty and smart! 💕💕💕
She never fails to amaze me!
Bunny is an incredibly sensitive doggo.
It's amazing just what a posable thumb has done for the ability of humans. This makes me wonder what would become of any other species we teach communication to and if this knowledge can be encoded into generation next.... I think about this . I've always believed that they understand more than any credit given throughout time and this is becoming proof.
Hey, forgive me for this I'm not doing it out of some kind of abstract pedantry or whatever, but rather explaining because it's useful to know and maybe you (or someone else reading) will find it interesting. I hope. 😬The phrase is 'opposable thumbs' (rather than 'posable') because it's not about positions the thumb can be 'posed' in on its own, but more that the thumb can be used in conjunction with any of the other digits on the hand individually, by positioning the thumb facing (aka 'opposite' or 'across from') the other digits (e.g. pinching the thumb and index finger together), allowing us to perform fine motor skills, etc, with more precision.
Love you bunny ❤️
0:25 I do that looking back-and-forth thing when I’m thinking really hard, I always thought it was a holdover from reading, like an ingrained habit, so it’s so interesting to see it in a dog (who afaik has no concept of reading words on a page)
OH MY GOD I JUST SAW A DOG USE PLEASE AND THANK YOU
I love you, Bunny.
"mum is" i think is an answer to "good girl" that is: thanks for calling me a giod girl, you are a good girl too!
I think she is saying "Mom, you are right, i am indeed a good girl" at 1:16 lol.
Did Otter's tail like grow back? Does that happen normally?
it's time to teach her swear words
2:50 beginning of Breaking Bad
🤣
What's with medicine? Didn't get that one
Is she still taking tummy stuff or is this different medicine?
Awe!! Is she still on medicine? Or is this from the past? I hope she's ok 🙏❤️✨
She takes medicine regularly for stomach issues I think
from my memory of the caption on the Instagram version of that video, one of her medicines is an antidepressant, which has been explained to her in simple language. She is also on something for a chronic digestive condition (at least), but this request was clearly for the 'big sad' medicine. (which is not how antidepressants work, but some humans have trouble grasping that, so I'm hardly going to blame a dog for not understanding)
@@erink476 THANK you for this. I was wondering where the damn context was. 😂
For this video, my screen is horizontal, vertical again horizontal.
Have you ever considered asking Bunny for her opinion after she watches movies like "The Great Alaskan Race (2019) on Netflix (Balto & Togo)", "The Call of the Wild (2020)", "Balto", "Togo (2019)", "A Dog's Purpose (2017)", "A Dog's Journey", "A Dog's Way Home", "Max (2015)", "Dog", "Hachi: A Dog's Tale", "The Art of Racing in the Rain", or "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey?"
big sad, do medicine Is like my style
Better manners than me. Polite dog
Does Bunny have an “I” button?
yes
Underbara hund 🥰
Smart vovve!
"Big Sad," "Do Medicine." Uh oh, I hope it doesn't mean that she detects cancer. I know dogs can be trained to detect cancer but do they know it's life threatening?
