Following the terror bombing of the town, and the global outcry that followed, the 20th century’s most prolific artist, Pablo Picasso, captured the intimacy, horror, and tragedy of total war for the world to grapple with for the rest of time. Thank you for sharing! Picasso's Guernica has been a tremendous inspiration to me and marked a defining moment during my undergraduate years at Mizzou (Professor Klein's Art History class). It was during this formative period of my BFA, when I deeply connected to this masterpiece, that I was propelled on my journey to SCAD (MFA, Illustration 2007) and into my career as an artist. I hope my experiences serve as inspiration for others, just as Guernica inspired my own artistic journey.
