You should take your horse’s pulse:
- Weekly to establish normal range
- At the same time of day
- When the heart rate will be normal
- If you have concerns about your horse’s health e.g. daily digital pulse if concerned about laminitis
- If other horses on the yard are showing signs of disease

This is great to know. Even if I don't use it I'll know how it's done and what "normal" is and what abnormal can be, when and how to do it properly.
