Happy weekend! We get distracted by good doggos in Wargroove, but Ellen gets us back on track with a Metro Exodus train quiz for Luke. 🚂🐕
Caesar...for small yappy type dogs...used to be Mr Dog.
Don't worry Ellen, some of us got the reference.
But are you happy with your wash?
🎩😆
Luke, how do I sign up to the F.L.A.M.I.N.G.Os? I just want to fly, land and meanwhile initialising nonstop gnarly operations!
Dammit, Luke and Ellen - I don't have time this week to draw that Steam Engine of Destruction.
Would you rather take the rail replacement bus service?
Imagine an apocalyptic wasteland. You're living in one of the last few safe settlements, right next to some train tracks. Life is tough. Then one day, from the distance, a heavy beat can be heard. Then some angelic voices. It gets louder and louder. You're scared... at first. Then you realize that it's HIM! Rejoice, for Gothic Metal Train Luke is coming to town, baby! =D
Plot Twist: Andy, years after the snow incident, becomes Luke's nemesis, the frost troll from Skyrim. He only wants to hug his old friend.
I love this
Headcanon accepted.
I think, with all the evidence gathered throughout many of their videos, it is safe to say it's outright canon.
Much like the conflict between Link and Ganon, they too are destined to one day have an epic fight to end all wars. Many stories will be told of that battle, stories that will soon turn to legends, and legends into myths.
Such myths will reach the ears of one particular person, a person that will soon meet another particular person, and find an instinctual abhorrence between one another, but cannot understand why, and will instead push these feelings down deep within themselves and form an unlikely friendship.
A friendship that is soon bound to crash.
And one day, a battle will once more commence.
A battle that will shatter mountains, and freeze fire.
A battle between a Colossus and the loathed Frost Troll.
Then the prophecy foretold by that Skyrim video will become true!!! Luke will descend from the mountains wielding lightsabers.🤲
Not yet, for that will happen far into the future.
For the battle between Luke and Andy have yet to spark once more. And from what legends told, such blows will break reality itself!
It will leave the world in ruin, sending us, and our technology, back into the middle ages. Fantasy and reality melding into one.
What's more, their battle always ends the same, with both dying after receiving many grievous wounds.
But, fret not, for they will reincarnate, as they always do, into new bodies.
One, will be a lightsaber-wielding, rocket Man-cat.
And the other, the unholy, icy representation of abhorrence and dread.
Another battle will commence, breaking the world once more. And another reincarnation, and another battle, and another reincarnation, and so on, and so on.
As it has been happening throughout the millennia, and perhaps for many unaccounted times.
Theories even suggest that it has been happening even before the existence of our universe.
"I was so scared, but then the commander placed a paw on my shoulder and I knew I was going to make it." -Red Spearman, turn 6.
"Oh buddy. Don't.. don't.. just don't" 😂
Comforting lvl: perfect!
He tame, he paw, he bonkered.
Me: Oh Metro Exodus, I'd quite like to see what Luke and Ellen think of this serious AAA ti-
Luke and Ellen: LOOK AT THIS TWEE PIXELY SWITCH GAME WITH THE CUTE DOGGO OMG AAAAAAAHHHHH-
I joke, but I subscribed for this
It's Advance Wars with dogs! That's two things I like! Two!
Exactly why I subscribed too, Ellen losing it over cute animals, oh and also they occasionally talk about video games, when they get time.
Oh look a squirrel is outside the window of OX towers, wait what were we talking about, I dunno video games or something, but look cute animals 😀.
The ICE also calls to me, and what it says is:
"ITS TIME FOR WORK BOYS" 😂
I thought they just broke down doors and deported people
@@JachAnen Germanys fast train system is called Inter City Express or short ICE. I guess he ment them, not the US Immigration Police.
@@user-mp1lw9nz5h Woosh
ICE also stands for In Car Entertainment. I'm sure someone somewhere is playing it's time for work boys subliminal messages through the radio waves.
"Corazon and his D&D character" - wait, is Andy actually Corazon, an immortal pirate?
This.
Explains.
EVERYTHING.
Didn’t think I could love Ellen more, then we get an izzard reference!!
"For small yappy-type dogs"
I stock dog food at work and I think that line EVERY TIME
I'm now expecting a "haha, great reaction!" from Luke on every comment of this video now
Corazon Corner? Surely it's the Corazone
Johnny should do an ice and snow themed session of dnd where Corazón goes mad in the snow, and the party finds him the next day and solve all the problems he caused while mad, while piecing back together what he did
I'd watch that
Then again I watch all their DnD so that's not saying much
Best friendship means always giving up the mint toffee.
27:25 Just Luke's whole deal.............someone should take a picture and frame that. "I want the fear of God in them"? Yep, that face'll do it.
I can imagine Luke riding on top of a train singing with a full band behind him
Andy goes mad in the snow again: Haha great reaction
Luke, there is a very simple method to keep Andy from going crazy in the snow. Just pop down to your local occult store, ask them about purchasing an Elder Sign. Now you can tell a genuine Elder Sign because its going to be carved into a light green stone. Like mossy concrete without the moss. Then the next time you go out into the Far North near the Polar Ice and the Color From Space , I think you call it an aurora borealis, yes? Anyways the next time you see Andy start to get that Thousand Mile Stare and start gibbering you pull that Elder Sign out of your bag. And before he can run off you bash him a good one on the back of the head. Should knock him cold.
Oh, and when he comes conscious later you show him the Elder Sign and tell him one of the Old Ones almost got him but you held them off with the Elder Sign.
Just whatever you do, do not let Jane see the Elder Sign. Never.
Ah yes the sound of the post apocalypse war trains: Pounding drums, heavy guitars and who could forget - clarinets
You forgot the doom choir
I feel like Caeser in Wargroove is the result of a hopeless war commander watching Air Bud and taking away that a cute dog can do anything a human can do but better
THEY MENTIONED ME!!!!!!!!! SCIENCE PUNS FOR THE WIN
Evidently they passed peer review ;-)
The band on Luke's postapoc train is obviously Styx playing 'Come Sail Away', because trains are 'the boats of the land'.
*surprise Sonic drowning music*
*dies*
He died as he lived - in perpetual fear of the Sonic drowning music...
Caesar: "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's..."
Everyone: "Awww he cute doggo..."
Someone should make a hi-res version of train Luke.
There is never such a thing as a bad dog, only bad owners.
"Luke, I'm going to get you back in time".
Am I the only one want to know - what happened to Time Travel Pikachu? We demand answers Ellen!
Wow! I never knew Hyrule had 100meg WiFi... is that because of the power of the WiForce?
Sadly, Zelda is now a Flat Hyruler.
"The train got so hot that it went forward"
Pretty soon Andy is going to be like the British public transport system - a few snowflakes and he'll stop functioning
Lol best comment 😂
This comment is under appreciated
"The Post-Apocalyptic world of Metro Exodus" What, Thomas The Tank Engine's setting wasn't post-apocalyptic enough for you, Ellen?
I think my favorite moment in this week's show was Ellen's "Press X to doubt" face at about 35:00. I've never seen one of the Ox crew throw shade like that before.
Here I am, wanting to relax by watching my favorite channel after a long, stressful week working at my rail job, and what do I get? More trains.
Trainman's holiday.
The train puns are making me nauseous.
Keep ‘em coming. 👍
If they ever stop coming, I'm sure there will be as replacement pun service.
GOD DAMMIT
@@joel.jpgvid Hope that didn't send you off the rails :P
They really did help keep the show on track. It has a habit of going off the rails
2 minutes in and I'm so glad Ellen's back to freak out about the good doggos!
Why do I get the feeling Andy is going to show up next week holding Frostmourne...
How would he have stolen it back from Jane, though?
Or maybe he became the Litch King from WOW. I was going to say the Skeleton King from Diablo but the Litch King is all about ice.
I was thinking the same thing... "There must always be a Lich King..." and I guess Andy applied for the job since Bolvar isn't doing much with it
EDDIE IZZARD REFERENCE! Ellen! Just when I thought you couldn’t get any more awesome.
Train from Shadowhearts. Everyone always forgets the Shadowhearts games. Such underrated/forgotten gems.
Show of my birthday, show of my birthday. Show of my birthday, show of my birthday. Show of my birth daaaa aaay!
Hey, same! 😁
Happy birthday to you both. :)
I find it ironic that in my recommended for this video, there was a video on what the white walkers want. The answer... Andy... They want Andy apparently
I love how they mumble Pirates of the Caribbean theme and then Ellen just shifts to Skyrim theme with Luke tagging along !
The tunes are quite similar actually, it's fairly easy to do
They definitely are but still , it was funny. They played a lot of Skyrim together and the theme is catchy as hell.
It's also kinda cutely dorky how it just kinda happened. I think they might not have even realized
probably not
*doggo bursts through locked door in armor and strikes a heroic pose
Ellens first thought...... Must give doggo ear scratches*
Luke's explanation of how trains work and the following train puns made me very happy
A train is like a ship on land... on rails.
If need be, Andy could come to Australia. It's warm and easy to avoid the snow and ice
Yeah but remember France, where he started getting weird with the Rabbids? I worry that Andy might declare himself the Spider-King if he and Luke are left unsupervised.
And as we all learned in school, Australian Spiders elect their leaders democratically, which would end poorly for any self-appointed arachnid regent.
ThE OutBaCk CaLLs mE FoR a WaLkaBouT!
@@LupineVolt Not all spiders are democratically elected, don't forget Red Backs, being Widows, are a matriarchal society *nods* They're more Jane's style really ;-)
Here I thought my doggo was styling in a leopard print hoodie. Caesar looks like the best boi!
My favorite Ellen Ellened the tall one
I must say, these little skits with Andy in the snow are just my favorite
I think my favorite part of any video with Ellen is how she can't contain how much fun she's having, and it's like even she can't believe that she gets to do something so awesome for a living.
An episode filled with dogs and trains? Have you guys been reading my diary again?
Immigrant Song + Halo Mjolnir Mix= Luke's post-apocalypse train theme song.
Between Andy's recurring "ice madness" and the hilarious poll answer of "the ice calls me", I'm dying laughing. Too damn funny!
Luke's description of how trains work is my favourite moment in OX history. I'm so glad Xtra are allowed to just do whatever random nonsense they feel like
I imagine the luketrain passing by with its screaming choir on board just sounding like a rollercoaster
Love the Eddie Izzard deep cut from Ellen! "Centurion, a word with you if I may. I'm thinking of changing my name..."
"Just don't."
Quite possibly the best burn I've ever seen Ellen give. Very nice.
Luke: "It was a leaf. It's the wrong kind of snow."
I just realized, leaves are the snow of Autumn!
It’s so good to see you back and (I hope) feeling much better, Ellen! It’s so good to have you back and, hopefully feeling better than ever (apart from the cough, which I can relate, I’ve got some pretty severe bronchitis right now) but both OX channels are getting me through easier. I Love all five of you so much and thank you for the laughs and great content (even though laughing throws me into coughing fits, but so worth it!). :D
A perfect way to end my night, booze and Oxtra! Thanks for always being entertaining, and keeping me company in this super cold weather here in North Dakota !
When all is gone, there will be a Luke train blasting out a majestic version of Crazy Train!
That was a phenomenal Eddie Izzard reference, Ellen!
I personally can't wait for the Frost Troll chapter of Luke's memoirs
This year has been awful so far, but your videos always manage to make me smile. Thanks for making things a little more bearable
Haha I'm so happy you guys brought back the fact that Andy loses his mind in the snow. That was always my favorite clip of you guys haha
Luke:"A lot of you have been drawing Corazón and his D&D character."
Corazón has a D&D character? I can see Dob as the GM, spending all the party funds on gaming books, not throwing them in the lakes as he has told the others.
Okay but Corazon's DnD character is 100% just himself but with his original name of De Leon instead of Ballena
Luke and Andy should never go out anywhere,at least Andy had his sanity enough to film parts of show of the week and that one sauna scene
It's not Caeser's personal guards' arrows that kills the enemies, it's his cuteness, when he rolls on his back and chases his tails, that kills them. Truly, he is a ruthless commander.
An unexpected Coraline reference, regardless of how creepy it is, is always a welcome sight for sore eyes. Thank you, Ellen!
Ellen’s face when James asks Luke about trains is how I imagine everyone’s face when someone I just met asks about my dissertation topic lol
Less than three minutes in, Ellen sees Caesar and we're just done now.
Thank you Ellen for preventing me from trying to figure out where that music was from that Luke was singing. Was going to drive me
crazy.
Genuinely tearful with nostalgia listening to that Thomas game music! Sooo many feels!
Luke the tank engine definitely hummed "For whom the bell tolls"
Seeing Ellen derp out over cute animals is the wholesome content i signed up for.
Ellen referring to the sea as a pool made me think of Fozzie Bear calling the ocean 'The Big Blue Wet Thing'
I can firmly say that I now listen to the Halo "rock" music everyday on my daily commute too haha; thanks for making another brilliant video as always 😊❤️
Ellen referencing Eddie izzard is my new favourite thing. Chickens with robot legs and Scottish smeagol wives next!!!
I’m imagining Luke’s train playing crazy train as it travels
I expect Andy has an entire wall in his lair dedicated to Corazon fan art by now :D
My favorite part of this is the assumption that Andy has a lair
Wargroove is fantastic and I really wanted to see Ellen's reaction. Thanks so much Luke!
Kind of surprised no one mentioned Zelda : Spirit Tracks in the awesome music video. You always chug in time to the music in that one. It was so satisfying to explore. I still awake in the night with a cold sweat as the tunes fade off into this reality. i want to go back. . .
The perfect song for Luke's trainsona is apparently the opening bombing mission theme from ffvii mixed with one winged angel, how incredibly fitting.
I have only one response to Luke's impression of Ringo. My impression of Gordon. "Oh the indignity."
What does Luke do to Andy to cause this snow madness
Icam here cause Andy is closely related to the frost troll that doesn't like Luke
Is it snow madness, or actually just a false connection has been made due to the correlation of snow every time him and Luke go driving somewhere?
It is not madness the Ice King is real I tell you!
That's proprietary Jane technology.
I think we'd all appreciate a video of just breaking Ellen where you show her just really cute and funny things. Her laugh sounds like an exotic bird.
Pardon me while I spend several days crafting a Blake-esque extended version of Andy's iambic tundra-bound ravings.
Convinced my friends to come to Rezzed with me, very excited! :D
I can picture the breakroom fridge covered in the best of oxtra drawing, and andy trying to figure were to put this latest one like a proud dad
I love this video!!! Plz make more!!!
I can't believe the clockwork train from Syberia wasn't in the quiz. It is manned by Oscar, the best robot friend a person can wish for!
From BK to the UK always love these videos !!
I loved this week's quiz! *hums 'Call me Rusty' from Starlight Express*
This channel could devolve into just Ellen reacting to cute animals and I'd still be subscribed.
I will always love Show of the Weekend contains Arts and Crafts
Luke's drawings are always so good and they better be on a fridge somewhere!
I love that this FLAMINGOs shirt exists, absolutely love it.
Concerning Luke's train choir... ♪ "You Can't Always Get What You Want" ♪
So Andy is the Night King! Man we should have known, that resemblance is striking!
They aren't bad doggo's. they're just misguided
From my point of view Caesar is evil
(For real though he is good doggo).
@@tommythecat7752 they are just trained by bad peoples. For real. The German Shepards nazis used were mostly taken in and cared for. That story warms my heart
So close, Ellen. But you don't find many steam locomotives mounting turbines. You find single and, later, double compression engines where steam from the boiler is used to push a piston (twice, in the case of double compression engines). Those rods connecting the wheels? That's the locomotive's powertrain. Steam turbines are found in electric power plants and ships.
I don't think it's possible to read the original Thomas books to children without slipping into a Ringo impression at least once.
