- Head Women's Basketball Coach at UW-Milwaukee, Kyle Rechlicz, breaks down a great team shooting drill utilizing the Dr. Dish CT called Shot Frenzy.
Shot Frenzy is a drill that can be done with an entire team or a small group of 4-5 players. For this drill, the tempo on the Dr. Dish CT machine is set to 1. This tempo enables the players to get a lot of shots up quickly.
The drill starts with one player at the wing and a line at the top of the key.
The first shot is a one dribble pull-up from the corner. The Dr. Dish passes out to Player 1 at the top of the key. Player 1 then passes to Player 2 at the wing, as they drop down to the corner and take a one dribble pull-up. Player 1 then becomes Player 2 and the drill continues until everyone in the line has assumed both roles.
The second shot is a drift corner 3. The only difference with this shot is that the wing player receiving the pass from the top of the key drifts to the corner to shoot a 3 instead of a one dribble pull-up.
The third shot is a curl action shot. This shot simulates a screen at the wing. Player 2 will cut down to the corner, come back up to the wing and curl in off of the screen, receive the pass from Player 1 and shoot a jump shot.
The fourth shot simulates flare action. Player 1 is at the top of the key and Player 2 starts at the elbow. The Dish passes out to Player 1 as Player 2 moves out to the wing off of a flare screen. Player 1 passes to Player 2 at the wing who shoots a 3.
The fifth and final shot worked on is the transition pitch. Player 1 is at the top of the key and receives a pass from the Dish as Player 2 is running back from half-court simulating a transition action. Player 1 catches the pass and dribbles towards the elbow. Player 1 then passes to Player 2 at the wing who shoots a 3. Player 1 takes Player 2's position and runs to half-court as a new Player receives the pass from the Dish at the top of the key.
All of the shots worked on in this drill are a great way to simulate game-action and get a ton of reps up!

I love the DR Dish, but u can do these drill without a DR DISH as well, just have 2 lines, 1 below the rim to feed the ball to the top and follow your pass.
Very good, game like shots!
love it
Does the ic3 one work on non in ground hoops ?
