I was in Japan when I almost bought one of these monsters (G 33000). I can assure you that it is indeed 330 watts per channel, regardless of what others may say. It was a bit out of my price range. I purchased a Kenwood KR 9600 instead!

Nice beast...I'm a Technics fan over anything...we all have our favorite...but by far if I was going to pick a receiver for just looks alone between Sansui G-33000 Pioneer SX-1980 or Technics SA-1000...sadly for me but Technics would be last...Sansui would be first....G33000 is a work of art...Technics has the power of 330 watts...correct me if I'm wrong but I think they are on top for that...cheers....
i found a Technics SA-1000 receiver in a Tampa thrift store back in the 90s for only $75. i didnt even know it was the worlds most powerful receiver until after i bought it and looked up the information on it. All i knew was it was huge and heavy and looked awesome and i had to have it. Sounded great but only lasted me about one year and it went out on me, i ended up selling it as is for $50 in the local flyer.
@@JxT1957 Only got about a year from it hey...well worth what you paid for it...I wouldn't have sold it though...I would have just admired it...I know a guy who had the Pioneer S|X-1980...not working but I wanted it...he never did sell it oi me or offer it to me...but tells me years later that he tossed it to the junk pile... I felt like slapping him...lol
actually, technics won the power wars. why are you demonstrating the wonderful sound of your receiver on youtube? do you not realize that there is no possible way for any viewers to gather any idea whatsoever how your gear sounds?

I use to own a Sansui G3300 in 1979 paid 2000 for it. Was the most amazing stereo I have ever heard. The power was beyond belief.

The SX-1980 is believed to be the most powerful. Its rated 270 if i recall, but bench tests at over 400WPC

both the sansui G-33000 and the marantz 2600 are both rated at 300 watts per channel, and that is quite conservative,. the very finest of their time,.
