- The words ‘Multiple Myeloma’ never crossed Paul Hollingsworth’s mind until the spring of 2020. He went to the emergency room for severe back pain only to learn that this form of blood cancer had invaded his spine.
I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in May 2020. I was only 39 years old then but they believed I had MM ar least 2 years prior to being diagnosed so I'm a pretty rare case as most who get this type of cancer are usually around 70 years old. I never thought cancer was something I would have had to worry about but life had other plans. I'm 43 years old now. I had a stem cell transplant in 2021 and now I'm still waiting for things to get better but it's been 3 years so far. All I can do is keep fighting. I pray for all who have to deal with this terrible disease ❤
I diagnosed yesterday , I don't know what to do , any suggestion s , I am 28
@@sowmya5807 I'm 34 and got diagnosed two months ago, just follow your doctors suggestions and fix your diet and you'll be fine, i'm positive about it because they caught it relatively early.
@@tokyodeathwatch5878how are u now? my mum caught it early and she has been fine for 4 years but has pain.
My father passed away from this horrible disease almost two years ago. He was perfectly healthy and very active until it took him down. It hit him very quickly and in a matter of months he was bed ridden. It was devastating to watch him suffer! Praying they continue to work for a cure so others don't have to suffer like he did.
My father found out he might have it I’m really scared right now
@@xiylo. I’m so sorry. I’ll def pray for your dad, you and your family.
@@SandraRamirez-hw7lt thank you
I’m sorry for your loss .
What are the symptom?
Hello! I just had a chance to look at the comments about the treatment that I’ve been on. The drug is called Darzalex. It helps to attack bad cancer cells in the bloodstream. Please ask me if you have any questions! I am blessed to have been able to be on the trial.
Is this news story about Darzalex? It referred to immunotherapy, is that what this drug does? My sister has multiple myeloma and she has not had much medical care. She may be at deaths door now because she developed a bad tumor but she's had this for about 7 years now with very little help from her oncologist. Please respond to this, we're desperate.
Is this a new medicine 💊??
My mother also diagnosed this pls advice something what treatment she shoukd take
Yes i get infused every 2 weeks, it is DARZALAX SO FAR SO GOOD.
THANK YOU GOD.
What's the name of the new treatment? Does anyone know? It wasn't in this report. Thx
Is this referring to the drug daratumumab or Darzalex? That attaches to the cells CD38 of the bad cells?
Thank you Jesus
Which immunotherapy.?
Plz tell me my mother is suffering from multiple myeloma ..she is a doctor..but not able to treat herself ..plz help..I m from india..
Hello. I’m sorry to hear about your mother. The drug is called Darzalex. I’m on a clinical trial
I was diagnosed with it a year ago. Doing chemotherapy but long way yet. Sucks at 60
My friend is 69 his spine is crushed abd kidneys gone. But hes fighting! Dont give up.
YES CHARLES 1 DAY AT A TIME.
9 YEAR SURVIVOR YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
How are you now?
Is it permanent cure..??
No
My friend who just died is in that 2%😪
No Cure for his Multiple Myeloma
He was in his 50s...
What immunotherapy did he use?
CAR T most likely.
They did not mention what is the name of the new treatment.
Hello..the new treatment uses a drug called Darzalex. It helps to attack the bad cancer cells.
@@paulhollingsworth9637 I have been on it for 4 years . I’m stable at stage 2, multiple myeloma.
@@rachelolvera9435 on what exactly if you don't mind me asking..did you have SCT?
@@natashab3412 no transplant. I wish I could have . But I live alone and have no one to take care of me.
@@rachelolvera9435what is the name of the treatment though???
Thank you for the insight, I think I've been in shock for the last year, it's not real, I guess if doctor's want to take you out, they'll take you out..LEGALLY.
Why are you being so negative
@@paulaubert1909 I was going to see doctors for two years before I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, they kept telling me I was fine, one doctor even renued my medical for my class 3 driver's license two weeks before I was finally diagnosed.
@@roddiechaisson6142 The diagnosis is straight forward and will give a picture at what stage you are, and whether it has not turned into full blown Myeloma. Bone Narrow Biopsy, CAT, PET scans of the bones. I have it, and the tests to determine are basic, and straight forward.
The trigger of all these so many cancer types,..is well known and documented ,..but all we hear from patients is that "they were told that they were fine by their GPs,...no patient dares to disclose the trigger disease to be avoided n thus escaping chemo, kidney transplants n the associated medical hell n entire cost of these"curative"... therapies....!!
Sometimes you just have to fight alone never quit.
Theres more than 1 doctor.
9 year survivor here.
Lolllll yeah ok, where’s the drug now? 🤣
