@nikhil makker Thanks man, glad you liked it. My video is based on the many guides I watched when I was learning the PEWGF. Also 2-3/10 for a PEWGF is really good. Keep up the practising and good luck! :D
Excellent guide! You are right that the no neutral version is easier on stick on p2. A little tip for those on stick (battop) who reads this - I input the pewgf by kinda clamping down from the top of the bat and when my thumb touches the forward, do not let go, it feels natural to let go but just focus or mind on it. Also, the way I clamp down is an adjustment to my elbow funny enough - when I do normal ewgf my elbow is pointing out to the left, but it helps me loads to input the no neutral pewgf by tucking my elbow in, which during that time you set up the elbow, it's just at the right time to input. I hope this helps someone who is struggling ^^
Just started Kazuya and it helps me so much! My absolute favourite video on this topic. Great editing, style, music and amazing execution on all those examples btw!👏🏻👏🏻
Hey man love the video, specially the visual cue on when the electric spark fades. Any chance you could offer some advice/a video on block punishing with electric ?
@Mike Oxlong, Hey! Sorry for the late reply. When it comes to EWGF punishing, it mainly comes down to character knowledge. Say you are punishing a -15F on block move - knowing when you recover from it is pretty much the key to then punishing with a 14F EWGF or 13F EWGF as Kazuya. When you recover depends on the opponent's move, hence, their character. Another factor is your EWGF speed. You need to be able to perform the EWGF quickly on reaction to be able to punish. Punishing a -14F or -13F move on block with EWGF/PEWGF is hard, especially online as there is input lag. I would recommend you punish with moves faster than i14/i13 or moves with easier inputs which makes punishing more reliable. Although don't let that stop you if you want to punish them with EWGFs as I attempt to punish -14/-13 moves with EWGFs online quite often. (I usually fail) If you want to practice EWGF punishing, I would recommend going into practice and have the bot as a character you want to be able to EWGF more often. Record the moves you wish to EWGF punish (must be at least -13 for a PEWGF punish) and begin the EWGF madness. You can put on Recovery Animations in the options to get a visual on when you recover. You can also change the Input Delay in the options to simulate what it could be like trying it online. I hope this helped. If not then I can try and make a video. Anyway, thanks for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
Since df4 can be buffered to practice the timing so i learned it by releasing my thumb completely from the d-pad after CH df2 and then input the df4...... its hard because out of 10 times dummy will be floating for 8 to 9 times but i recommend this one Also correct me if this comment is dumb and makes no sense
@@beanz4368 Currently in practice mode and I have a question. Idk if your familiar with kings wavedash where you have to do F,D without a neutral. This is basically what I have to do to start the input? This is the part that’s giving me the most trouble.
@@Shinzthegreat Yeah you essentially input a single King wavedash [ F, D, DF ] after the [ CH DF2 ] although you stop before inputting the next Forward. You start the input as soon as Kazuya recovers from [ DF2 ]. Getting the input is hard itself as you have to input quite fast to avoid the neutral input. Alternatively you can use the other input [ F, N, DF2 ] which is a bit easier to perform although it can be a bit hard to do it quickly. If you want to work on the inputs, For the [ F, N, DF2 ] start of very slowly and perform one at a time. It would be easier if you don't press the [ 2 ] at the end and just focus on the actual directional inputs. Once you're a bit comfortable with the input you can slowly increase your speed and begin implementing the [ 2 ] as you press [ DF ]. For the other input [ F, D, DF2 ] I would recommend that you are comfortable with doing EWGFs before trying it. Once you are, begin increasing your input speed. As soon as you let go of the Forward input, immediately start the Down input. Eventually you should get faster and the Neutral input will skip. The last piece of advice I can give is to keep practising and make sure your you have command history on in practise mode to see your inputs. It is a hard move to perform and it might take a while to hit it and there's no problem in that. I hope this helped. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask :D
@@beanz4368 I didn’t have any issue doing regular ewgf from backdash , standing or ss. My only issue was with the input needed. So many people have the input as F,D/F+2 yours was the first where I saw it with a D input. Since I know how to do kings wavedash your way seemed simpler due to it having the same F,D without a neutral. I’m gonna post a clip on Twitter and CZcams. I wanna give you credit so I’ll be sharing this video if that’s fine with you. Thanks again this video was the best I’ve seen, extremely thorough, and visually appealing.

to be clear because i can hit tju in matches already but this seems impossible i used to main kazuya 3 years ago and i droped him because i hate that i cant hit this... the input has to be perfect i mean 1 frame of f n and df2 same frame i think the part i'm messing up is inputting maybe 2 frames of F sadly the only way to see this is with 3rd party programs because game always tell you only inputed f in one frame (i used tekken bot prime but is not working) and that messed up my tju before i could hit it
How did you get omen without neutral input? didn't work for me a single time, you got me exited there as no neutral input would be way more consistent for me.

@@janelim6527 If you are in Practice Mode, you can go into the ‘Other Settings’ tab and turn on ‘Player Attacks (Counter Hit)’ from ‘Not Set’ to ‘Counter Hit’. This will make your first hit on the opponent a counter hit. You can also get a counter hit if you hit the opponent with a move (like DF2) while they also input a move. This is how it happens in real matches. A third but uncommon way is by Ki charging. You can Ki charge by pressing 1+2+3+4 (all the attack buttons at the same time). Once you Ki charge, your hands begin to glow. If you hit an opponent in this state, your move will be a counter hit regardless if the opponent performs any move (they can block the attack though). Hope this helps.
@@beanz4368 Oh, I see. I'll practice the second method. I notice that when I stand up from crouch and press 2, it does a stun. That is not a counter hit is it?
@@janelim6527 You are correct, that move is not a counter hit. When you begin to stand up from crouch and press a button, you get what is called a ‘While Standing’ move (the naming can be a bit confusing since your coming up from crouch). So, in your case, you got a ‘While Standing 2’ or ‘WS2’. It has a similar stun to ‘CH DF2’ but you can’t PEWGF from ‘WS2’. You can do ‘CH WS2’ but it will not change the stun. You will only do more damage since it is a counter hit. These types of stuns where the opponent falls to their knees are know as ‘Crumple Stuns’. Many other characters have them. Kazuya also has other WS moves such as, ‘WS 3’ or ‘WS 1+2’ or ‘WS1 , 2’ (also called Twin Pistons in the move list). If you are in Practice Mode, I would recommend setting counter hit from the options menu. It makes it much easier to practice counter hit combos. I would use the second method if I was practicing some set up.
