When you hit on the opponent's block you gain a prowess passive, while you have prowess opponent can't gain indestructible buff. But you have to use x-magica champs
Don't let him use heavy or sp2 because after placing 5 judgements CGR places damnation and deals degen damage. Already explained at the start of the fight

Yes Wiccan is better, Thing gains lots of buffs overtime so Wiccan is great option+ his neutralize prevents unstoppable
