I absolutely love the new editing changes, its really nice to get more shots of the players going through what theyre doing and their live reactions. Talking in more detail through the movement phase is nice too. Keep it up!

This might be the best balance between engaging, social and efficient battle report I have ever seen. The fact that you showed this much interaction and player engagement and still managed a quick paced video is cool as hell.

Love the new format. Report is still very fast and compact but we get the excitement of the big dice rolls at the same time. ❤

Really enjoy the new format, it's nice to hear some of the conversation on activation priorities and positioning for units! Also seing some rolls as you're doing them adds to the suspsense!
New format is really great. Seeing a bit more of the rolls and chat between players really adds to the experience and puts us be more inside the battle than before. Bravo 👏 👏

Love this new format, like others said.. Its a good balance of trimming down time and still giving us you're live reactions to what's happening and the major dice roll moments.

Not sure how much it did in the game, if they would have survived Durthu or not. But can't issue commands to units in combat with Enlightened on discs. I really like the new format though!

Hello, found out this video months after release but was smitten by how beautiful the paint jobs on the sylvaneth are with the darkish purple/noctural colours complemented by the very bright reds/magentas, could I perhaps ask which colours were used there and whether it was airbrushed or painted with brushes and constrasts etc??

I liked the old format, but this new format is a great mix of narrative, banter and rolling.
But imagine if you could ever get Unleash Swarm of Spites off a single time!

Played the enlightened without their most potent ability 😅 You cannot receive ANY commands within 3 and at 13:17 it already happened twice. Went back to the lists to check if they were indeed enlightened and not skyfires 😅

I seem to be in a minority in preferring the old 'battle report' style that clearly describes what's happening without interludes. I found it one of SoW's selling points over other channels, and I've stopped watching the unedited 40k reports because the actual gameplay process isn't much of a spectator sport. In a practical sense the loss of the narrator with a dedicated microphone for most key game events makes it easier to parse than players announcing which spells are being cast (especially as you do what a lot of people do during gameplay, and describe the effect rather than naming the spell - "The Lady of Vines will cast her ward aura" - which takes something from the immersion).
Losing the end of turn analysis is also unfortunate - although it can be a little repetitive at times, the players summarising why they made the plays they did is something I generally found interesting and useful.
Idk why everyone hates on the double turn. Yeah it adds variance but this game perfectly depicts how you can use it as a wildcard when youre behind. In most games it is usually optimal to play with big risky plays when behind, and what better risk-reward than a double turn?

Btw I saw Belthanos using AAD and Durthu using AAA which is both not possible into TEoD. They block Command Abilities in the Combat Phase. Dont know if it was already in the comments.

Yep, units within 3” of tzaangors on discs cannot issue or receive orders in combat phase.
Only in combatphase. Means unleash hell e.g. works. Important detail

It seems to me that the lord of change can't dispell spiteswarm because who is visibility on him. Something he hasn't seen since he's hidden by the Sylvaneth forest.

New format is great! Just one question, how did the fateskimmer try to cast a blizzard? He has a mount so cannot be a locus right? Or was it the magister casting and the voice over made a small error?
The requirmeents to be a Locus is that the hero is 9 wounds or less. Mounts are not mentioned.

Why give Magister Master of Magic trait when you can give Cult Demogogue instead to simply auto cast w/destiny dice?
Helps with Spellcasting reliability without spending destiny dice!
Also helps with unbind reliability. I was able to almost completely lock out Jordan's magic phase because of how much reliable unbinding I had. Also I had no destiny dice recovery so I didn't intend to be spamming out a ton of destiny dice. I needed to save some for my grand strat.
Realistically cult demogogue is only going to get 1 maybe 2 auto casts per game and its going to cost you 2-4 destiny dice to do it.
Pretty sure you can't use all out defense against the enlightened. Might have been changed, but can't issue or receive commands when in combat with them.
How did the spiteswarm hive get dispelled? It was at the back of the wyldwood so would be invisible.
Unless there are some Tzeentchian shenanigans I haven’t encountered before?

models with 10 wounds and more (lord of change) can see into the wyldwood and also dispell it

I don't think durthu could do strike and fade that first turn. With everdusk it goes to a wholy within 6 and i believe that tree was too far away.
It's really dumb, but the wording actually only restricts abilities that requires you to 'pick' a unit, and Strike and Fade is not one that requires that.
@@SeasonofWarThe seasons wouldn't work at all for Places of Power if you needed to "pick" a unit...
LVO/AoS Worlds ruling is that Reaping and Everdusk change the range for Walk the Hidden Paths, Strike and Fade and Places of Power

Rewatching this... that dryad redeploy could have been better to keep Belthanos out of melee range of the enlightened
100% - just a sloppy play and didn't measure threat from the enlightened
Hmm if you are gonna cut to the people rolling the dice, I would prefer to see the dice rolls. Maybe a camera over a dice box that you cut to? kind of preferred the old format

It hurts my soul to see all out defense and all out attack being used against the tzaangor enlightened. Easy rule to miss but you can't receive commands within 3" of them in combat phase. "TZAANGOR BUBBLING SCREECHES INTENSIFY"

The book was set up. I had two Tzeentch Endless Spells.

Not sure im a huge fan of the priority/double turn mechanic. If youre the worlds unluckiest dice thrower like sylvaneth guy youre basically getting double fisted, dry, with a run up.
Hard disagree over here - your assumption is that you always want to take the first turn each round, which isn't the case!

Warsong just aint that good these days , gotta go lean with Lady of Vines, Durthu, Belty and maybe a Branchwych. Load up on some 6 Kurnoth w/ Greatswords
Still havent been a fan of the warsong this GHB. With primals you are forced to play with him back and take the spellsinger command trait. Then if you play into a heavy spell casting army thats 300 points wasted on a unit.
Typical Sylvaneth gameplay nowadays...they don't do much anymore
