    This is a great video for anyone setting up their camera for a live stream! Nice work. I have some technical questions about my setup. I used a brand new Micro HDMI adapter (that is directly plugged into the camera) to a brand new HDMI cable that runs from the adapter to Elgato Cam Link. I don't have an AC adapter yet, either, just a standard battery. When I have the power ON, in Movie Mode, the display screen intermittently flickers on and off. My Elgato Cam Link is getting 'No Signal' from the camera. I know the Micro HDMI adapter works because if I run an HDMI cable from that adapter to connect the camera to a monitor, the image from the camera shows up on my monitor. I also know my Cam Link is not defective because a Canon hooked up to it with no issues. Thoughts?

    • @mikesunboxing

    When my g7 is not taking video (and the viewfinder is on) the frame rate is very choppy, and then when taking video it looks perfectly fine and in 60fps, I assume this is to save power because it would be hard for the camera to always output 60fps. What kind of delay are you getting mate? Do you need to delay your audio to sync with the video? Cheers

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  Před 4 lety

      i run the audio into the camera and then into the hdmi stream so there is never any lag in audio. The laggy audio is normally if you use a USB mic or something and eventually depending on the length of stream it will go out of sync due to processing

    • @simongoode7025
      @simongoode7025 Před 4 lety

      Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to Ah ok. Yeah I’m using a USB audio interface with different mics. The gradual sync problem is solved by setting them both to the same sample rate (44.1khtz). So you can delay the mic to match the camera. The problem is the delay on the camera for me was around 400-450ms.
      Anyway I’ve solved it I think! (Adding here in case anyone else has similar problem). On the G7 if you have the video quality to 25 FPS there is a delay, but if you change it to 1080p, 50fps it seems to be much faster. No idea why, but hope that helps someone else.

    • @mikesunboxing
      @mikesunboxing  Před 4 lety

      So are you saying at 50 FPS the lag is almost gone or is worse?

      @simongoode7025 Před 4 lety

      Mike's unboxing, reviews and how to when the setting was 1080p 25fps, the lag was around 450ms. With 1080p 50 FPS the lag is 100 or less (perceptible, but usable for Zoom/Skype etc). No idea why because the camera itself isn’t recording anything.
